I think if the yoyo is added it in Minecraft you can make it out of any block and the damage it does is how much the block its made of would have. Ex:you make it from sponge block it would have minor damage and if it's made of diamond it would have major damage.

for the next comments to crafting i think a new pet.the aquaiot. it is crafted by putting a dolphin in the middle, a raw salmon on the middle right , a ocelot egg on the middle left and a hart of the sea on the top left over the ocelot. it gives you dolphins grace ,water breathing,resistant,regeneration and night vision when you swim with it. it attacks nearby mobs. to tame , you need to feed it diamonds .they are the most beautiful animal on minecraft and they are found in ocean monuments.if you hit it you will teleport you at least 1000 blocks away.
