The new mechanics in the first kinda sucks. Like yeah it’s cool but there wouldn’t really be any point of cloning except for farming rare mobs like wither mobs but given the second one adds wither spawners it totally defeats the purpose of the first one. Instead of focusing on telling strangers on the internet they're wrong and to pay attention blinded you cause the potion also gives slowness which zooms into your screen, opposite to how your screen zooms out when you use a speed potion. He regenerated after the screen went back to normal. Now if you look carefully at 6:02 you would see that IMMEDIATELY after using the potion he checks the effects. The time says 3 seconds, meaning the potion doesn't last too long. he regenerated after the potion wore off.

But the salamander was actually kinda simple, from a programming standpoint, so even that was unimportant to me. All he did really was design a new model, take a pet AI (including how you tame it but was a different item), make it rideable, give it the fire immunity attribute from nether mobs, and make that attribute also apply to anyone riding it. On the other hand, since we don't have lava-resistant boats, I suppose at least it fills a need content-wise

Making "infernal" weapons that autosmelt could also be useful for charcoal with axes, glass with shovels, and I think it would be funny for there be a pointless "ember hoe" that comes with an achievement for crafting it. (Maybe it would have a hidden use for nether wart idk) Along with all this, I think we need a lot more cold stuff along with the smowyer snow update. Think frozen wood, chilled food which is inedible till smelted, and icy stone which is normally harder to mine. Imagine something like a "mountain temple" made off ice. Frostbite inducing mobs combined with hard to mine icy stone and slowness strays could make these a deadly trap to the unprepared adventurer. Maybe you could beat frostbite and thaw other things just with a flint and steel if your don't have this new nether gear.

Update #1: Game mechanic: Winner: Blood crafting Bloodcrafting: A really clever idea and could really be useful in late-game applications. it's hard, work-intensive but worth it for the outcome, but would the effects (Like spectral and fire resistance) stay permanent? Nether Barrel: As much as everyone would like this, even with the hard crafting recipe, it's way too overpowered Update #2: Nether building/structure: Winner: Graveyard Bone Den: As cool as it is there's just too much going on; wither essence, special lava, secret rooms, end crystal, captured villager, nether totem, boss fight etc... It's just too much. But I do like the fact it spawns in the middle of the lava oceans; very clever! Graveyard: I've always wanted one of these, even in the overworld, i like the traps, wither skeleton spawners and the new ghost mob. However, if this was ever added, it needs to be SUPER RARE Update: #3: Pet/Freind/Ally winner: Salamander Salamander: I think its a good concept being tamed with oranges you can only get from a rare biome, ability to ride on lava, and it follows you. Good concept! Collector: I mean its a good concept, but to be honest, the nether shouldn't be a place for any NPC, the fact that the enchant is randomly selected kinda kills it, what happens if you kill the collector? can you take him back to the overworld? Update #4: Superweapon/useful item: Winner: Nether mancer staff: Nether boulder: is a cool idea, but just the fact it had very limited use (if it drops 16) make its not worth the fight against the Brute. personally my update for minecraft: 1: new item the pulverizer. created with 7 obsidion one diamonds and redstone dust with the redstone at the top center and the diamond in the center . Features: the pulverizer can make cobblestone/smoothstone into gravel and sandstone into sand (4 per block) as well as be able to turn gravel into flint. gravel can also be smelted into cobblestone and glass can be pulverized into sand. uses redstone as fuel. 2: Nether items don't burn other then netherrack/netherbrick. 3: Stone Grub: feed it stone to friend and toss it stone blocks for a random chance at gold nuggets iron nuggets or coal. 4: alchemy table: turn iron into gold using xp, or coal into diamonds. This would be expensive to build and to use (transmutation tiers: t1=10xp t2=15xp t3=20xp t4=30xp). To build you need to put an enchantment table, brewing stand, and two blocks of lapis on the bottom in a square to build. (t1: wood - coal, flint - stone. t2: stone - iron ore/gold ore. t3: coal - diamonds. t4: diamonds - netherite ingot). 5: Soul crystal: an extremely rare nether ore that can be used to replace xp cost in the alchemy table, as well as for enchantments, and can be used to make a new potion (yes this is basically the philosophers stone). potion of undying one and a half min of immortality, make a healing potion and then in the alchemy table you put the healing potion in with the soul crystal and you can craft it (meant to prevent making three in a brewing stand).

I think its funny how people think there needs to now be a wither spawner but you can just put a plain skeleton spawner in the nether and it spawns withers.
