When my husband and I were engaged, my parents came up from North Carolina to Ohio to meet him. At the time, he had two dogs and a flock of seven birds, his special baby being his cockatoo. My mother told me some years later, "As soon as I saw how he treated his dogs, and especially when I saw how he acted with that big white bird, I knew he was a loving man, and you had chosen the right guy." So, yeah. Even a prospective MIL's heart can be melted by an attractive man cuddling a cute critter, so that's some powerful mojo at work.

Iv never understood this aversion to squirrels at the feeder. The whole point of a feeder is to enjoy wildlife, and squirrels are so cool, can be very sweet & funny, better to watch I think.

Not only did your pets know you're in Labor, but they also knew before you did, by days. They can smell the hormones, ect coming thru your skin. They know before you do, when your gonna poo, throw up, all sorts. Some can even detect cancer & disease on your breath. How cool is that...

The picture of the dachshund and the new baby. Dachshunds are the geese of the canine family. My sister is 9 years younger than me. Many were the nights when I was in my late teens that I had to sleep on the sofa. If I came in late and my sister was already asleep, Nemo wouldn’t let me in the bedroom. Once all of us kids decided to sleep in tents in the backyard. Nemo paced up and down. We had to give it up and go back inside.

I was having stomach pain and my four dogs would not leave me alone Hovering , licking looking concerned. I went into the living room to be left alone but they followed me My husband asked if I thought I should go to the hospital I said I didn't know but the dogs say yes I was crying or making a fuss so no external cueing By the time I got to the ER I was gray with pain and they took me right in Kidney stones pain not touched by IV Dilaudid Listen to your animals
