The $200 tin isn't actually such a gamble. If you look at the bottom line with the year on it, the last identifier is the "k16" code. K16 means 2016 repack. Yours had the k16 on the bottom! The true 2014 tins don't have the code.

Came here to say this! Can confirm I have a couple sets of the older tins with 2 furious fists, 1 flashfire, and 1 plasma blast and the tin says 2014 with no “k”

Well i can honestly say the 500 tin is well worth it and ill be trying to find one for that price . you pulled 700 worth of packs from the tin itself so its value in contents is worth more than its purchase price ! Love that 💛

SO basically you can buy the $300 tin and pull out over $400 worth of product? $175(Legendary)+ $75(plasma) $100(Boundaries) + $75 (Dragons)? :O + the Promo card Also: The Meganium Dent im crying For a card that literally doesnt even have the pokemon named on the card(Lugia Legend) That is a freaking beautiful card.

$50 tin was the best if we're going for bang vs buck. You can get both Lugia Legends cards for under 250 on ebay. Although I bet if you had both Lugia Legends cards in PSA`10 then it would be very high in price. I wonder if there is even a single person who owns both in PSA 10s The true value of the older tins is pretty bad. Or I guess it just depends on how much you value nostalgia of opening older packs
