Good stuff. I love how the tape reel label says it was recorded at “Keystone Theater” None of the Keystone clubs was anything like a theater. My favorite was the Keystone Palo Alto, which was a Quonset hut with the acoustic properties of a giant tin can, which it was.

Marmaduke gave me a weird face on stage when I asked for Garden of Eden at the Lone Star Cafe on Broadway near Washington Square Park. I guess they didn't want to play it. oh well. They were fun at Ithaca College outdoors and however many other times I saw them.

@@LucyLennon20Internet archives says: New Riders of the Purple Sage Live at Lone Star Cafe, New York, NY on 1978-05-18; He was soon to be 33 more than 30 years before he died. He was young and vibrant. 'only 7 songs that show. Apparently I annoyed him but I also loved Marmaduke. Bill Monroe also gave me a weird look downtown at The Bottom Line when he didn't want to play Memories of Mother and Dad. I guess I can choose the wrong song. David Grisman however played my request a few times. Telluride and Arabia.
