50 Years of Colour TV | ITV News

TV snooker commentator Ted Lowe once said "For those of you watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green!" It sounds bizarre, but it wasn't at the time - because up until the late 1960s colour television was just a dream.
But all that changed here on ITV, exactly fifty years ago, on 15th November 1969.
