Love the craft commercial. I grew up a teenager in the early 70's and started working in country music in 1976. I can see it all thru the years in my brain but this is a nice reminder. thanks for posting it.

No problem. I do have more Country music specials that I wish to share. I am in the process of upgrading my video capture setup. It is an involved process because the videotape formats that I collect are not as popular or common as VHS, Beta and U-Matic. Also, video capture devices that are newer and more expensive are not always the best. I do love a challenge.

I taped the whole show back than and later transferred to DVD; still have it in my collection. Only one time 50 years... Of course the quality isn't that great but I don't want to throw it away.

I will be honest with you. I was unfamiliar with Roy Clark until I bought and digitized this television recording. I appreciate and respect Country music especially knowing that it is a cousin of Rock music. Regarding every music genre (which is ever expanding) there are a selected group which can be considered as masters of their craft. Regarding My limited knowledge regarding Country music I consider Roy Clark as a master. Considering what I have seen thanks to video recordings Roy Clark not only was a skilled guitar player but he also had a wonderful voice and charisma. I honestly cannot picture Roy Clark as arrogant or rude. I might be wrong but he seemed to be a very lovable person. I happen to love the instrument known as the electric guitar. Especially when they are used during extended dialogue free solos. Roy Clark integrated electric guitar solos to his music and I love that very much. I know that some people do not consider the electric guitar to be an actual instrument. It absolutely is an instrument that is incredibly flexible and can be integrated into many music genres.

Roy Clark's music has become iconic. I have noticed that it is used as background music on modern day TikTok and KZbin Shorts video clips. Everything from cowboys to semi truck drivers, hunting enthusiasts, construction workers and manual laborers. Basically anything that involves feeling proud about oneself.

Would you happen to have the special, Johnny Cash & his country girls or something like that? There were ten or more female singers on it, some were lesser known.

I do have TV broadcasts of Johnny Cash including his Christmas and Bible themed specials. I didn't know if they would be enjoyed. I have noticed that Country music had a connection with faith back in the 70s. I don't consider myself a big Country music fan but I do listen to the Country music played on modern radio stations. It seems like that connection to faith has been lost.

Watch the first part of this. Then the second one started. Why did they cut Johnny Cash out?

Sorry. The Johnny Cash One Piece At A Time music video is being blocked. Thankfully the segment where Johnny plays his harmonica along with the iconic Big Midnight Special song is not blocked. The way he makes his harmonica sound like a train is really nice.

Sorry, not in this special presentation. I recently found out that Loretta lynn has left us to be in a happier place. Her music still lives on.
