A shame the coffee makers from 1972-1979 were the best.

I found one still in the box at goodwill, but the carafe was missing. There was slight brown staining in the basket, but the rest of it was absolutely spotless and brand new. I think they bought it and didn't like it l, and just packed it away, never using it again. It's the very first original one with the wood grain, and two separate switches for the Brewer and the warmer. Makes my coffee much hotter than any of the new machines do. I had to order a replacement carafe, and I found one on eBay new in the box as well. So now I have a brand new coffee maker from 1972 that makes better coffee than the one I bought in 2021. Nice and hot. Only thing is it doesn't have the automatic timer on it that I really loved, so the coffee isn't ready the second I get up. But it's pretty fast anyway. I'm willing to give up 5 minutes for a better pot of coffee.

Too bad that name is no longer known for great customer service. After dealing with customer service for two weeks just to get a new 14 cup pot I'll never buy this brand again. All I wanted is to get a new pot that broke. Didn't even need a warranty, I just wanted to buy one and kept having to repeat myself over and over and over to get no where. Worse customer service I have ever experiences in my life. Never again.

Awe really?? That’s not good to hear. My family always had these Mr Coffee machines. But I have heard there’s now newer better machines!!
