This might prove controversial ... I admit I don't know what the Ambassador's handling was like so can't compare them overall.... but I always preferred the look of the Austin Princess to the Ambassador.

I believe they were basically the same car, but the Ambassador was intended to fill an apparently non-existent demand for a hatchback version. The motoring press at the time described it as ‘the Princess you can enter from the rear’.
