Looks like he has taken the fairing off of it for some reason and fitted straight bars, so there would be more wind resistance to.

Looks like a set of 3 spoke 17" rims and a SINGLE disc up front and pipes! Wow! Plus the guy can ride! Pity the R6 stacked it at the end.

Bad lines, jerky gear changes and no where near smooth combines with very slow. Poor bike :)

Tuned with jetting, porting and competition expansion chambers these bikes were devastating. They came from the factory detuned. Stock the bike couldn't match the 1100s but tuned put this bike in a whole other category of bike. In fact it was actually able to match AMA 1100 acceleration rates and then some just with those changes. This bike fully modded was rumoured to have 140 bhp. This bike is still detuned.

D.C. nope the stock 86-88 GSXR1100 went 155-160 at the most and the RG had the same power to weight ratio

The RG 500 couldn't do 165 mph . I had one

@@ghost500e remembering my high school physics lesson, mass only affects acceleration, NOT speed, so reading my reply again I guess I said the wrong thing. I had a 87 GSXR1100 and rode a Canadian RG500 and they did accelerate about the same but I never topped out the RG like I did my GSXR.
