Such a beautiful piece of artwork that never gets enough original credit in the ‘pop culture’ fashion scene. Yes!!! People may also know it as "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" and it genuinely is such a beautiful piece of artwork. It's also more likely to just be a huge surface wave rather than a tsunami, as the piece is part of a series to show Mount Fuji under different conditions!

No clue if you will ever see this, but for the green pinafore dress you could buy something called hemming tape, it's not expensive. After you've cut the dress to the height you want, you just basically fold the bottom fabric onto the hemming tape (so its covered) then iron that down, so the raw edge isn't showing. I'm not sure how long it would last in the washing machine, you might have to sew it, but it could last a little while. Hope this helps.

@14:47 you can go to any tailor or sewing shop and have them hem the skirt to the length you like. This is VERY simple to do yourself with some hemming tape found in most craft/sewing stores. It is iron on.

You will be so happy when you find someone for quality alterations. A garment that fits perfectly can be hard to find, for some people. Buy one that fits your biggest dimension, then have it tailored to fit the rest of you. And it's not that expensive, for something you'll love wearing.

This! I feel like so mant people overlook alterations unless its formal wear. Alterations can make you go from looking "good" to looking like a million bucks. Minor alterations like a hemline or taking in a waistline are pretty cheap.

14:35 get a sewing machine and just use white thread to hem it Roll up the hem inwards to make it half the length you want to shorten it by. Then, roll it up again, which should get it to be the length that you initially wanted it to be. When it is rolled twice, begin sewing it down, making sure to backstitch at least 3 times before beginning to sew forwards. Backstitch again when you finish sewing all around. Or, if the material is thin enough, just cut it to the length you want it to be and make a proper, small hem like you would find on skirts and dresses

For hemming that skirt, there’s actually an iron on hemming stuff you can buy where all you have to do is fold up the edge and put it in between and then iron it and it’ll hem it up for you

For the yellow overall jumper (14:41) to make it just a tiny bit shorter the way you like it, you just need to get some Hemming Tape and fold the bottom hem up a few times until desired length, and tape it into place per the tapes instructions. Or you could always cut a few inches off the bottom and sew a new hem but that’s a little more permanent. Either way, it’s a quick fix to make dresses a tiny bit shorter, I alter mine all the time.

my first thought for the hem of the pinafore was Sam...but Springfresh Dry Cleaners do an alteration service too, it might cost you $10 or $15 but they do a professional job...they also do wedding dress preservation, if you haven't already got your dress sorted. I thought the last dress was so cute, and the colour is lovely - Lavender and mauve shades are my favourites, and blues as well.

For making that green denim dress shorter I would suggest looking up how to hem a dress. It isn't fully permanent so if you aren't happy is should be pretty easy to remove and try again!

For the green pinafore - Its fairly easy to re-hem a dress, just turn the dress inside-out, fold the hem the dress by however much shorter you want it to be (as its inside-out, when the dress is then as it should be the folded fabric should not be visible). If you have a sewing machine, try and get a thread matching the dress colour, pin what you've folded and sew along the top of where its folded. Theres also a double sided fabric tape called Hemline Insta Bond that does the same thing without needing to sew. There are plenty of videos on KZbin that can help with this too ^^ good luck! Edit: This is assuming that you dont want to cut the dress. There are plenty of tutorials as well that will guide you in how to cut the dress and re-hem it

I found your channel when I was thinking of ordering things off wish for the first time, but was skeptical. When I typed wish reviews into youtube's search bar, one of your ywibi's popped up. I fell in love with your channel. I love pastel colours as well, and I liked that you took fan suggestions, gave them a tiny little shoutout when you bought something they suggested, your reviews were 100% honest and I was able to see cool things I liked that I could maybe even buy if they were good. Now it feels like you spend a lot of time in japan, a place I will never in my lifetime be able to afford to go to, trying on clothes that would't fit me even if I could afford them. Your whole channel seems to have shift from "I am the average customer just like you and here's what I have to say" to "Look at me! I'm in Japan! Look at what I got! You can't get it unless you have money like I do" And it's just not what I came here for. I do appreciate your recent wish video. That was fun and felt like what I came here for originally. Hell, it even encouraged me to open up the wish app for the first time in months and buy couple phone accessories. But your channel still feels like a japan channel. I'm still a huge fan on you and Archie, don't get me wrong. If I knew your PO box address, I'd even send you some fanmail because I am still a really huge fan. Adjusting the green pinafore dress would be really easy. You can sew it (I recommend it for a durable alteration) but you can also you hemming tape. Hemming tape is a double side iron-on "tape" that will stick two sides of fabric to each other. There are plenty of tutorials on KZbin on how to use it.

Ok Alex for the bottom of the Green Denim you can either sew to your liking or go to the craft store and look for glue for fabrics for the sides you can pin it to your likening and saw the fabric

EASY FIX INSTRUCTIONS FOR GREEN PINAFORE: Go all the way around the bottom measuring an inch or 2 or 4 (whatever you decide) and fold up/under and fold again same amount and pin. Keep measuring that amount every few inches( to make sure your skirt will be even all the way around.) Iron the bottom and at any sewing supply store they sell invisible hemming tape. Sandwich that between what you folded and iron it on using a damp cloth between fabric and iron. You can cut off access if your going to be hemming it alot. SO EASY. I can sew and I still use "fusible web" when doing a quik hem job. Comes in black or white. Only a dollar or 2 for a small roll. Stays put thru washing if you iron it on good. I really hope u try it. You'll b a hemming pro! 💗💜💙🧡💚💛

Take the bottom fold it in about an inch or two ( about 2.5cm or 5 cm) and stitch it from inside to outside of the skirt of the green dress. Always pin and check length first though

The green pinafore dress is an easy fix. Hemming is easy nd cheap. If Sam can't do it, a seamstress/alterations place can do it for $10-ish USD. They'll be able to take in the waist too but i'm not sure how much that would be. If you or Sam want to do that too, take a thin elastic(found in the sewing section) and stretch then sew it along the back waist seam allowance. How much is taken in on the waiste will depend on how much you stretch it (you can do it to the front too to keep it even if you want). Also, if you want to do the hem yourself, figure out where you want the finished hem to be. Mark 1 inch less(towards the current hem) for seam allowance and mark that amount all around the skirt(measure from the current hemline). If sewing by machine: cut and fold up 1/4 of an inch pin in place....do that all around the skirt. Press avoiding the pin heads. Fold that up 1/2 an inch and sew as close to the edge o that as you can.(i know that is only folding up 3/4 of an inch but you said it was denim and the folding will take up the leftover 1/4") If by hand, do the same marking but cut out with pinking sheers(the zigzag scissors) fold up 1 inch in the same pin and press manner and stitch 1/4 inch from the new hemline. trim the leftover fabric with the pinking sheers. The Pinking will prevent it from fraying so you don't have to worry about finishing that with a zigzag stitch or serge/overlock stitch. You can do this method with a sewing machine too. I gave you both methods just to give you options. If you have any more questions let me know.

I think you can use fabric glue (the one for jeans) and try to make it short, the bad thing is that fabric glue gets hard af. But if I'm not mistaken, there is thing that is a tape that you can use to glue both sides and it will be flexible.

For the green pinafore (at 14:38), it would be really easy to make it shorter. To make it shorter, all you would need to do is to measure the length that you want it to be, add an inch to that measurement (for hemming allowance) and cut it. As denim doesn't really fray (it frays a little at the edges and then stops), you would fold over the edge (on the inside so it looks nice when you are wearing it) once and then sew it down (or do a rolled hem where you fold it up once, then twice then sew it down so it looks neater on the inside). You could try hemming tape but I'm not sure if it would really stay in place with denim. It's pretty simple. There are tons of videos on KZbin on how to hem a skirt. Suit Up Sam could probably do it for you if you asked. :) (Also, super sorry if someone already answered this question! I didn't see one so I figured it couldn't hurt to comment.)

Hellooo🌱 The easiest way to shorten your pinafore dress is to simply fold the fabric up to the right length, and then pin it in place (if you iron the fold its easier to sew it later) Sew the hem of your skirt all the way around. Be sure to use small stitching and a matching thread to prevent your seam from showing :)) Its really easy and you could totally do it without a sewing machine too, it just takes more time.💕 Good luck!

Go buy some hemming tape from the store hen you figure out how much you want to hem it put the tape on the inside and take a iron and go across it like a press on patch or you can just hem it with actual thread . The thread will take longer but a more permanent effect where as the tape may come up in time and you will have to redo it.

For the overall/skirt greeny/yellow thingy; I'd suggest either shortenin the shoulder straps and see how that works OR you could re-hem the bottom an inch or two (guess I should be the Canadian that I am...2.5 to 5 ish cm shorter). The waist you could add an elastic to the waist somehow or add a free hanging belt or i have no idea on this one, I am just throwing ideas out there. I don't know how to explain my button idea - oh maybe...add button holes a bit away from the other ones on the side (if there are ones there) so you can button it tighter (kind of like a bra where you can hook into the outer or inner one (or in some cases middle one). Well, now that I've confused every one including my self lol, I'll stop there :)
