$500 Honda ATC200ES, Went From Easy Fix to Disappointment!

Bought this 1984 Honda ATC200ES last Fall for $500. The recoil was off and there was no spark plug, so, I could not get a read on the compression or lack there of! Spark plug was out due to stripped threads and a poorly installed Heli coil, the electric started was rust seized, and the engine has low compression.

I useualy use grease on the bit,and tap to hold the shavings, but the rope idea is good, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones

My "hoping" days are few and far between. Higher percentages and additional insight on the machine can make things happen, but always prepared to walk away and never look back unless the price drops like a stone before I pull away. Good tutorial Harvey, I just came back from a 300 mile road trip and have my phone back on if you want to holla back.

Easier on a chain drive 200, then it is a 200es shaft drive.
