I know the deposit prices are crazy but The avg rent in Seoul for an officetel also being 500-700 is so crazy to me , in the US it would easily be $1200+ 😭
@CeceDeAnn2 жыл бұрын
The thing is you get a deposit back and rent is theirs forever. I’d rather put a large deposit for cheap rent that’s gone forever 😭

For $1200 in the USA, there is little other than dumpy apts, with old tech fridges and stoves. In NYC, you get a closet apt for that price, some with no windows and cockroaches!

The deposit and rent includes a LG Smart TV, cable tv box, Wi-Fi, fridge, laundry machine and sound proof windows.

Busan not Seoul. In Seoul it’s more on the 700-900 range. You could maybe negotiate 500 for a higher deposit. Honestly I’m jealous as I live in Seoul and this place is so much nicer than mine lol

Love the apartment ! Gorgeous 🥰 was the deposit over 10k? Sorry if it’s a personal question I’m planning on moving to Korea if I like it during my trip and I heard the deposits are kinda crazy >< thank you in advance 😻😻

Yes, 5mil Korean won is about R50,000. Currency exchange rate as it stands: R63k. However, you do get it back when you move out because it’s a house security deposit. Unless you damaged the property, they use your deposit to fix it. 🤍

Hey, I was just wondering how much bills cost you in this place?
@fundi3542 жыл бұрын
There’s a building maintenance fee of about 100,000won+ per month. It includes water and electricity. The second bill is a separate gas fee. I pay about 20,000won+ pm.

I contacted an agent. There are many English speaking agents in Busan. You can find them on FB groups like "Expats in Busan".
