It's the most beauitiful thing ever. Unpopular opinion but i'd be fine with barely any playsets at this point. Imagine a perfectly detailed Bag-End with every room for $400, and Helm's Deep, Isengard, Lorien, Moria, Khazad-Dum, Bree etc in a similar category. Then BOOM $800 Minas Tirith and Barad-Dur. I know the leaks had Barad-Dur for a lesser price but i'd pay so much for an Eiffel Tower size like tower of Mordor

Really disappointed to see that the set is only a partial Rivendell, rather than a full Rivendell, as might have been imagined if they had done it at micro scale like the Hogwarts castle. I think brick scale was the wrong direction for them to go in for this set.

Exceeded expectations - beautiful Color and aesthetic from the front - minifig (not microfig) scale - includes scenes from the movies for possible playability

Is no one gonna talk about how they changed Boromir, Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas.. For the worse?!! I'm so Dissapointed in the new figures I had been so hopeful to finally get the original ones

I mean I think Gimli, Borimer, Aragorn, look great! I think the Legolas is a down grade mainly because of the hair and face.

Lots of pieces but damn at least 1000 of those are the tiny roof tiles :/ I gotta look up that dots tool you are talking about though. Not sure I’ll get it… I’ll wait a while to see if they have cheaper options since I mostly want the minifigs. Don’t get me wrong the set is very pretty but like you said it looks really hard to display/too large
