500 MILE BREAK IN COMPLETE!!! TEAR DOWN BEGINS

Just completed my 500 mile break in!!!! Because this is my first time building a "race car" I wanted to go through the motor and make sure everything is PERFECT! And guess what..... everything is in good condition. Super excited, just a pain in the behind doing all this work with a full time job. One thing I will say is that your nutts bro lol taking apart the engine just to take a look inside lol duck me that’s a lot of work brother, guess when you build your own engine this is what you gotta do, I bought my engine from Mmr and had the best performance shop in my area to rip the pistons and rods out for 2000hp set up lol

That is good man. Idk how much trust you got from them but in my area, there is no one that builds my motor so double checking is always best than just sending it than having to do more fixin and paying more money to get it up. Have you dynoed it with making 2000 hp?

@@tdl_racing no no I’m building it bro to handle up to 2000hp, I didn’t want to keep the Mmr Manley pistons and the h bean stuff so I upgraded to higher end stuff like customs pistons a ibeam rods, I’m going to be running CG fab twin turbo kit twin 67/66 turbos, my teksid short block is still at the machine shop just waiting on the hot side from cg then slowly build away just installed a cobra fuel tank with a full fire fuel system. Gonna be a e85 street car, I’m not building a 2000hp car the way I am is build it once and forget about it kinda deal!! Lol, I’m gonna be 1000 street then 1300-1500 at the strip lol. It’s a pretty intense 2v, ported livernois heads, trick flow and I am going to be running a holly like yours as well I liken they set up looks legit blocks not being machines it’s just simple parts taken out will still be a mmr 4.75 stroker end of the day just can handle more power

Its not much carbon but that is what you will see normally. The only time you will see it clean is installing brand new pistons.

Where did you get your ac delete pulley? I can use that for my modular motor

I bought it used from Kieth Ciborowski. And yes it will work on mod motors. Im pretty sure you can find one online.

What ever happen with that rod knock you had at dyno day? That your end cap was loose

Yeah, just replaced them with new parts and no more knocking.

It looks like you had some debris in the engine and that caused the bearing issues. Every part has to be thoroughly clean to the point that it passes the white glove test. For my build I picked up mineral spirits and wypall towels for the final cleaning when I go to assemble. Here is a a good video I found on final cleaning. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5u7ZaBunNp7hck
