i just hope they can replenish their spare battery inventory sometime soon. I haven an Aventure as well, and love it. Use it as my daily commuter to work. Would like to have an extra battery, just in case.

For goodness sake’s get a suspension seat post. Right now your healing back is absorbing every shock you encounter. I got a Suntour post for my Aventure and it makes a world of difference on my old back. Find a good one. The most important upgrade IMO.

I see you took your fenders off. Was that because they rattle? Mine rattle a bit. I'm thinking about removing them. So far I'm loving my new Aventure!

Never put them on. I like the look without the fenders. Since they are metal, they would likely rattle.

Actually, the nonsense with e-bikes cheating... Honestly, it'll give you more of a workout. The tires are hard to move and respond not as nimble as a 20lb bike, and you can still operate it with 0/no assistance. So you want to feel the burn, turn off the assistance and ride with a 75lb bike, and just save it for the ride back after you've gotten your workout.

Totally agree! I do get a nice workout and don’t use PAS or throttle too much!

If a guy lights a cigarette with a bic instead of a match, or better yet, flint and steel, is he " cheating "? What a load of hog wash! Nearly every sport has it's purists- the monohull yachtsman say catamarans are cheating. I say if you're not competing, you're not cheating. Good luck with your replacement parts, and may your bike never need any. Thank you for the video.

San Clemente CA recently banned all classes of eBikes from all city and beach trails. This was due to irresponsible younger riders going too to fast, above posted limits, putting pedestrian trail users at risk! They already had no class 3 ordinances posted on many of their paths. The city may revise, but it doesn't look good for the eBike community.

So what bike rack did you find that will hold this big Aventure?

Nothing yet. Don’t even have a hitch as I gave a small sedan. Working on it!

@@Marvelofebikes Having a difficult time locating one. My Aventure is 64 pounds without the battery, and that doesn't count whatever weight the front and rear racks and a basket add to the total. So probably still around 70 pounds. Most bike racks are not rated for that much, let alone the 45" wheelbase. Sigh... ☹

@@LittleBurchie Thule platforms hitch racks are rated @60lbs per bike. That's the stress loads of the plastics used in the rack. Not the metal rack itself. They have to under rate for legalities. You would bend the tounge before the rack itself would fail. Hitches are rated 300-500lbs. Add a ratchet strap from the top tube to the rear of your vehicle. Also prevents sag on your hitch tounge. Or just get dirt bike carrier.

Thule T2 classic. Rated 60lbs per bike. Taking my battery off, at 65lbs have experienced zero problems. I do ratchet strap the top tubes of the 2 bikes to my van on a high point. Takes the weight off the rack and also reduces sag stress on the hitch. Also zero rattle/wobble...My Curt hitch is rated 500lbs but they recommend support (straps) any time a load is not a level tow. Think a balanced trailer.

I guess it depends on what you consider fun. 21? Probably go with a nice mountain bike. Save the E bike for later but good for long touring.
