500 Mile Snowmobile Ride To Maine Ends in DISASTER !!!

We saddle up the old snowmobiles and embark on a 500 mile sled journey from Vermont to Maine with a 2014 Polaris Assault 800, 2003 Yamaha RX1, and 2002 Polaris XC 800...at least, we try. After riding most of the day, we get a major break down that changes the course of our trip.

When you are dealing with older sleds you just have to go for it! Even if you have a breakdown it's all part of the adventure if sledding! Been there done that a few times! Great video showing the real adventure of traveling with all types and ages of sleds!

Hey u guys r pretty entertaining sometimes makes me want to keep watching. Iv been snowmobiling since i was 5 im now 45. But iv never camped out while snowmobiling always wanted to but never got around to it. Hey a little tip getting unstuck just tip sled up on its side kick snow into the trench pack it good. After trench is filled u can let sled fall back down then walk around sled packing snow specially in front of sled take ur time. After sled should drive right out took me years to learn doing this way it works and u can do it by urself if ur alone. Keep doing what ur doing very entertaining thank u for sharing.

Yo great attempt. I’m at my camp in Maine right now. I’ve snowmobiled all over central Vermont for many years. I’ve ridden the North East Kingdom countless times from Island Pond. I’ve heard and seen that radar station from trail 1 over there. Unbelievable trails . Been to that station in East Burke. Great video good luck.

This reminds me of a time when me and my friends made a 50 mile trip from my house out to this lake in middle of no were and I was on my sled my buddy was on his and the we looked back and the was a huge ball of smoke and another one of my buddy’s sled blew up at the 30 mile mark so we pulled him to the lake and back and that added another 4 hours of complete h**l to our ride lol at least you guys were able to make it to a gas station keep up the great work on the videos be safe

I'd check your coil and maybe the cdi is taking a shit , sounds like when it gets warm it shuts off That's a sign of coil or stator issues

If we can climb bald mountain to the summit on a 98 mxz 500 97 formula plus 680 and a 98 xltoilet that we had to re jet 3/4 of the way up on the hiking trail those sleds can make it no problem

I just stumbled upon this video today. My edge chassis 800 xc has the exact same symptoms shown in this video, including no headlight when cranking at times. Will run like a top, then bog from time to time. Sometimes you can coax it back to running right with the throttle, but this becomes more difficult the warmer the sled gets. I've replaced the stator, CDI, temp sensor, gone completely through the carbs and clutching, and numerous other things suggested by others. Only thing left at this point seems to be tearing the motor down. Still have 150 psi on both cylinders.
