500 Miles & Trying a New Bike Seat

I set a goal of riding 500 miles on my new Velotric Discover 1 e-bike by July 4th. My fist recorded ride was on April 23, 2024. With 3 days remaining and my mileage today at 475 miles, this should be doable. Life and other obligations, however, sometimes get in the way, but I’m still aiming for 500.
My right leg and right buttocks have been a bit painful so I’ve decided to try out a new bike seat or “saddle.” Went by Bikes Unlimited, our local 57-year old bike shop in Lynchburg, where I bought my bike. to have them install a Cloud 9 replacement seat. Road on it about 8 miles but went back to store to see if they had a different model. They did and it seems better but. Not a whole lot wider than the original seat or the first Cloud 9 I tried. It’s the “Metroline” model.
