Truthfully, the spiders are actually a gang, so they have to mark their territory by using oddly designed spider webs to show that they own that area and anyone who goes there needs to back off.

i think a cute idea for this prompt would have been a mosquito going to the spider tailor and getting a suit made, and everything the spider makes is made of spiderwebs! I think it'd be cute to make them friends rather than enemies, yknow?

I used to draw a lot earlier on in my life, and you’re kind of convincing me to start again. Thank you! I sincerely hope your ‘children books’-dream come to life. Maybe the mosquito,let's call him James,was walking with his friends,Sam(the fly) and Tyler(the bee),from Burger Queen(get it,because of the bee).It was the last day before school started back,and they wanted to go get some school things after they ate.So as they were walking,they see a spider web.Being curious,they got closer.Until Sam playfully pushed James,and that caused James to fall into the web.Both Tyler and Sam got scared and backed out of the ally way,because they could see a spider going down to James."WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU IDIOT!!YOU JUST CRUSHED MY NEWLY REMODELED KITCHEN!!"yelled the spider.She was bathing her daughter and saw them walk down the ally way.She was telling them to be careful,but they didn't hear her.As that was going on,an ant could hear someone yelling,so she walked to the window.After seeing what was going on,all she could do is laugh.So that's my story,hope you liked it.

you can really get an idea of the characters just from this illustration. like the fly looks like they pretend to be cool even though they are the dorkiest dork, but they always say how they could do better than their two friends but really he loves them. the bee is really wimpy, and their lunch always has a note from their mom, they are just the sweet cute one. The mosquito (who has to be a girl since only girl mosquito drink blood) I feel is the classic nerd hero, who always have their heads in the cloud, she just can't wait till she can leave school, but hey at least she got her friends. But I really love the idea of the schoolyard bullies or like the popular kids telling them that they would never hang out with them unless they could survive going through the 'dark alley', the one alleyway no other bug go through because it is the infamous spider gang hangout. but because the mosquito is headstrong and the Fly dreams of being popular and well the bee is just along for the ride, they end up at the alleyway, unsure if this was such a good idea. But they go in and find that actually the spider gang, is just a group of baking spiders, and the alleyway just leads to their shop. they had moved into town not too long ago and found the alley was the perfect place to set up shop, but sadly nobody wanted to come because they were all too scared. so the mosquito and her friend decided to stay for tea, and they promise to help the spiders get more business and assure everyone that the spiders are friendly. Also the three friends decided they rather not be popular because the power of friendshipa and stuff.
