Awesome videos my man! I watched the previous 3 and just wanted to say thank you for these! I may have a go at one of these...I used to put together small PCBs and solder up breakouts and snakes. My eyes are so not what they once were so I think I may need to get a nice magnifier/light situation going and definitely upgrade my solder station.

Very nice review loving it. I had an idea in my mind can they be used to create a neve console sound. What if we add the JFET and the royal blue colours together? Wouldn't that create a sound very similar to the Neve 1073 preamp? Would love to see you do that thanks.

Good idea, but no plans to do that here on this channel, sorry

@MixingMusicAnalog Thanks 4 the reply. Also, you have completely stopped talking about diy recording equipment stuff altogether. Is there any reason for that?

I love my DIYRE colour modules. I have the CTX, 15IPS, and Pentode (Louder Than Liftoff) modules mostly for my mix bus. The 15IPS module is really great on drum close mics and the pentode is always nice on bass and guitars. Strings sound incredible through the pentode modules too. I modded my 15IPS with a lower resistor in the R6 slot. I think I put in a 180R or 220R instead of the 470R it comes with in that slot. This will increase the headroom of the module for some more subtle saturation. I highly recommend doing this mod on the 15IPS module if you want to use it on the stereo bus. Soundcast Studios did a video about the 15IPS headroom mod kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXmQgpKtlMdsodE
