Oh gosh, alexandria...! I was wondering the whole time when you’d realise the box wasn’t *supposed* to be taken out of the case with holes in it! You’re supposed to spin it and pull things out from the holes. So the other items don’t go flying out like that.

I think Alex knew you can get the doors through the cut outs. But as you can see the cut outs are at all different levels and finding the doors would of been more difficult also keeping track of what she already opened would of also been difficult

Here is something for you to not feel bad about spinning this thing: I was serving a charcuterie board on a marble spinning circle plate this Christmas, my husband picked it up and spun it right in front of one of our guests to better show him the selection. Mac Liquid Last is the BEST eyeliner I’ve ever used. Have been using it for over 10 years now and it’s my ride or die. You can apply it thick, or thin, and it’s AMAZING. 12/10. Get a good remover though because that ish does not come off easy. I can go camping for a weekend and if I don’t take it off, it won’t even budge

As a makeup artist I like having minis in my kit for some products like the face oil. Not only does it decrease the weight of your kit but you aren’t carrying around a bunch of product you only use on specific clients.

A tip: if you wipe off a lot of the eyeliner product on the liquid liner around 6 min.. you can get a super thin line! Those are my favourite type of liners:)

Btw, the inner box was supposed to stay inside the outer box. You can see the openings on the outer box line up with the doors on the inner box. Cute and different packaging that most of the other Advent calendars.

You can sheer out any lipstick that is too bold with a standard chapstick. Apply, blot or wipe off completely if it is going to stain then add lip balm. I've also done the reverse and started with a lip balm then added lipstick for a more sheer wash of color. Lisa Eldridge did this in a video with Alexa Chung titles a classic case of winter face if you want to see a professional do it

I have the paint pod in ochre and it is a wonderful eyeshadow base. I apply it with my finger, which I think is how it's supposed to be done 😂 That gold though.... it's a fun change!!

The Mac Liquid Last eyeliner has been my go-to for YEARS! That stuff will not come off unless you use an oil-based remover. If you want a thinner line, I'd suggest getting a thin angled liner brush and dipping it into the liner then putting it on.

I really like the lip prep and prime! My first venture into lipstick was ColourPop ultra matte liquid lipstick witch was super drying. Using the prep and prime first made those liquid lips actually wearable (specifically in the winter, not as much of a problem for me in the summer)

On day 14, there was a brown-gray lip color -- do you know what the shade name/product name was offhand? I'm ALWAYS looking for taupey grey-browns and they're so hard to find. (Almost every other color just clashes with my skin horribly and amps up the saturation. Velvet Teddy that looks so muted on you, for instance? MONKEY BUTT PINK on me. In all caps. It's *visual allcaps* on me.)
