As a sculptor myself.. I really admired that relief sculpture you showed... whoever did that, it was very well done.. the figures were proportionally correct and all.. fantastic. I thought it looked like art from the 20s or 30s by it's look... but what the hell do I know

To borrow the expression from the 1960s, "I dig the coast, man!" Ha! There's more than one meaning to "digging" the coast. That Tudor settlement was amazing! Amazing!! They lived in a big bath tub! I'll bet they ate seafood dinner every night. As you bypass the mud flats, maybe you could take us to the pub for a beer and have a talk with some locals.

Hi Dan... some years ago my wife and I hiked 2 miles in the Rocky Mountains to see a ghost town, when we got there, all that was left was two squares made of rotten logs, nothing else. It was a nice walk and the mountains were pretty, sorta like that island. Love your videos.

In the US you can detect on any public property unless it's a historic monument. If it's private land just be kind & ask the owner, 99% will say go for it. All beaches go for it.

You make your videos fun to watch. Good job. Wow those are nice clay bottles. Most don't know but the other reason they are the shape they are, is because it is less likely for bacteria to prosper. The reason there are no corners in that shape. They copied nature, just look at an egg. Ever wonder why the egg does not go off even though it is under a hen at 35c all day long for weeks or why you can store them outside a fridge. The new chick would die from food poisoning if nature did not design it like that. They found seeds in 1000 year old clay pots with that shape and they still germinated all them years later. People were smart back then and they did not even know it. Museum was fun to watch. People still make cob houses. Devon has some 300 years old ones.

Strictly speaking a shepherds pie is made with lamb & a cottage pie is made with beef, typically ground (or minced), both in a gravy (with or without vegetables) and a potato topping. The meat and potato pie Dan is referring to actually has a pastry case containing a meat and potato mix.
