If the player is putting too much spin on the ball (like a heavy side under spin chop), I suggest you not to try put so much power or too much spin on the ball. Instead, you should simply block the spin move.

You have to counter the spin. If someone hits you with a backspin shot or side spin and you just block it you give the oponent the advantage they were looking for when they made that shot. If someone hits you with a backspin you do a top spin shot with the aim to negate the spin. If someone hits you with side spin you angle your bat whaen you make your shot in a way that makes up for the spin whilst still allowing you to play the shot that you want to play.

Point at 0:37 disproves your point, chops can be counterattacked by keeping your forehand counter topspin stroke small and fast. I'm pretty sure this channel has a video on it, your point of contact should be near the end of the racket
