Congratulations on 5K subscribers! Yes, they shot Surface Pressure at the same time they shot Bruno. Geoff is serving up Matt Mercer with his hood and Ashley is dressed as the Vox Machina bear, Trinket. Interestingly, J. was not with them at the mall when they shot ,,,Violin. He shot his own footage out in Seattle. Omar is reading Dragonsdawn by Anne McCaffrey at the start of the video. Cesar picks it up and hides it behind the chair at the end, with a different book being tossed to Omar. That's Layne's daughter, Lilly, being "Peach."

This was so much fun. 😁 Congrats on 5K! It's well deserved, sir. Apparently, in Peaches Geoff hit a new personal recorded high with that last belt scream at an A#5. Absolute madness. 😆 I would like to suggest their mini for Ordinary People. It has JNone as a guest and he absolutely kills it on the lead, so much so, that it's easy to get lost in his voice alone. However, the more I've listened to it, Layne's voice has been shining through for me. There's no beatboxing so he's singing and omg he makes me melt in that one. Also, their short for Remember Me from Coco, funny enough also with JNone as the guest, but you get more Cesar singing in spanish in that one. Plus it's just absolutely beautiful. And I'll also throw out my support for the Chili's baby back ribs short. Again....with JNone as the guest. I"m starting to sense a pattern here somewhere. 😂This one was JNone's choice to perform, and it's a lot of fun.

JNone was a permanent member of Voiceplay, had a job at Disney Orlando, and was a vocal coach with Tara Simon Studios. Gave all that up to take the Navy singing gig. He won't be able to be a permanent member of VP again, until his hitch is up. And the hitch is probably at least 4 or 6 years. Maybe more. If I were the Navy, I'd lock him in for as long as I could.

So he did the shoot in a mall near him in Washington state, and the guys filmed separately in the mall where Pattycake Studios is located. (Where they film most of their minis lately.)

Yes, Ashley is in Bruno and Rich Man, among other things. Yes, playing D&D with most people is just tedious and boring, but playing it with these people would be an absolute blast, no question. Sign me up. Heck, I would binge watch an entire playlist of KZbin videos of VP sitting around a table munching snacks and playing D&D. I'd probably watch it more than once. I watched the Muppet Show quite a lot as a kid, but I don't remember that song. Must have missed that particular episode. Hmm, my favorite VP short is probably Surface Pressure, which you just watched. Other interesting ones include Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life) and the Adams Family one. You would probably lie the Tiki Room one; not my favorite but it seems up y our alley. Geoff's best rock scream is in Queen in 5 Minutes, on the line "I've made a few". Pretty sure the girl in that last one, also appeared in Once Upon a Dream, and possibly also Daddy Sang Bass.

Voice Play did a fun short of a Chile's restaurant commercial. You'd probably like it since it's heavy on the bass notes. Also, if you enjoy Jack Black, I think you need to watch Weird Al Yancovic sing his song Tacky. It's a parody of the song Happy and Jack has a part in the video.
