Good to see you back Brian. A very nice upgrade, I liked that you hid the new regulator in the Lucas case. Best wishes, Dean.

Nice to watch and will use some of your tips when wiring my Ariel 350cc. Did you find the regulator getting hot in use? I would prefer not to drip the holes if it’s not getting too hot. Thanks Paul

Hey Buddy, Welcome back.... Hope all is well. I thought you said it is now a 12v sys., which to me means you wire batteries in series as 6+6 is 12v same amps, where as 6 and 6 is still 6v but with more amps.

Bryan, thanks for the comment, I did mention that i tested the dynamo with a 12v bulb but this bike is still 6 volts. I used a 12v bulb for the test as the 6v bulb just blew when I started the bike. The last video I posted was the conversion of the swing arm B31 that has been converted to 12v. That will be my next restoration. Thanks again, Cheers B

Hi , I have a 54 B33 , not owned it long , dynamo is 6v , has no gear driving it , t has s 12v battery that is charged now and then . I would like to upgrade dynamo to 12v and fit the dvr2 , how have you found this conversion , where did you get your parts ? Or send it to .

MCR2's have been killing dynamos for decades. Batteries that are way too small also play a big part, and as you have done here 2 smaller ones in parallel can be hidden very neatly inside a rubber case.

Hey Brian, I hope you are keeping well and make some more nice videos for us. May I ask your advice - I need a new piston for my C12 and can only find JP brand but have seen some bad feedback about them. What are your feelings about them and /or if you use another supplier who are they. Thanks

Dave, I think I fitted a JP piston to the C12 and to the B31 also, there are some bad reviews about but there’s not much choice at the moment. Mine are holding up ok. The engineers who did the rebores for me are using them with very little comeback. Some are using more oil than they would like but not smoking. Good luck with yours. Cheers B

you probably only needed to Clean a repliers you coil & the thing would have worked ok ,

Time to measure DC volts with an Avo. Those electronic meters jump around all the time.

Thanks for the comment but what is an Avo? Cheers B
