Great vid bro, I was thinking of making 435 N55 content myself I’m running a pretty similar build to you

Great video an I'd like to give a bit of insight on this build. The N55 motor can hold 550hp...but reliably...my answer would have to be no. BMW designed the N55 to be a softer gas efficient version of the n54. This was done on purpose I'm my opinion to have these cars break in the 7yr ownership window. That being said. Spun bearings,cam phaser bolts coming loose,oil pressure sensor leaks traveling up wire sheething to dme shorting out, vvl harness shorting out if vvl motor not addressed in timely manner They designed the oil system on the N55 for commuter having minimal baffling in the oil pan for optimum oil pick up. So under heavy acceleration n turning oil starvation can occur. Now the s55 m2 oil circuit consist of upgraded oil pump with baffling and two pick up tubes,one in front and one in rear. Giving optimal oil lubrication doing performance. I strong suggest the filling before the attempt to go 550hp Install upgraded cam gear phasers n upgraded bolts. Timing chain and guides Vvl harness updated harness cable+ motor later on..😊 Rod Bearings M2 oil pump, dual pickup tubes , m2 oil pan, gaskets Xhp stage 3 tune + Hot shot Speed line fluid Budget option to upgrade turbo look for Chinese brand Costel N55 stage 2 turbo on eBay it's $400 it's Chra with front housing slightly bigger turbine blade. 600hp capable... easily replaced if it pops. Id upgrade the o rings on the Chra unit..cause they to do some bad sized orings across all turbos from China.. eBay 7 inch intercooler Motul 300v 5w 30 they run oil slightly thicKer the 30 weight to give added lubrication. Now id suggest running methanol down the line later just to keep time managed. Cause cyl 5,6 work the hardest and are prone to rod n piston failure due to excessive heat. That I'm my humble opinion is the only way I'm attempting to put this N55 to 500hp reliably. The short cut route just turbo n intercooler you gonna pop the motor. With the now know defects of this motor it'll take a bit of resources to do what you're seeking. I own an f10 m sport as well and from the n54 og trenches. So I strong suggest if you not prepped to spend that extra monies. Do the eBay Costel N55 upgrade Cam Gears BMW upgraded bolts. They snap causing engine failure. Vvl harness New oil pressure sensor Supra hpfp modified OEM rod bearings+gasket Custom tune at 400hp Cd919 Tuner Methanol set up Xhp stage 3 tune Run motul 300v with 5k oci fcp euro warranty program Bigger oil coolers+lines😉 jegs Play it safe..these motors aren't cheap 5+labour Or just trade it in n go B58 first gen... Weight the cost of building f10 vs copping B58 with basic Boltons it'll be at 600-700hp some what reliably Just an Og 😂 opinion

Love your vids! Can you answer a question? Were you able to install the MHD device yourself or do you have to find a spot? Here in Va and they aren’t much fun regarding tuning options around here. Thanks for your time.

Ive been doing the same, putting the stock turbo to use with FBO, been runing Stage 2+ MHD for a while now and now i reached the end with the stock turbo, every bolt on possible has been done but the car only makes a woopping 330hp on the stage 2+ OTS. I have a pneumatic wastegate. I ordered the PURE600, and i wanna see how far i can go with that with just pump gas (93oct)
@AppalachianDriven7 күн бұрын
You should be making more then 330 hp if ur fbo with stage 2 tune
@gewdies7 күн бұрын
@ the pwg makes like 70 less than the ewg sadly
@dennismuendesi25594 күн бұрын
Exactly the same power I was making when I was stage 2 FBO. 249kw/330whp. I have since done a stage 1 hybrid turbo with the stock turbo. It went up to 350whp but the top end gained about 40whp so the car pulls much better. With a 20% eth mix i get to 375whp. I am also PWG. I am more than happy with the car now but in the next 2 years I will go Pure500 to get to 400whp. I want reliability over big power. Have a 640i.
@dennismuendesi25594 күн бұрын
Also to add my turbo was machined to the same spec as the ewg. I am putting out the same numbers are what a Stage 2 FBO ewg puts out. No way people with EWG are running 400whp with pump gas.
