The RB has such an interesting sound - it sound extremely composed. The JZ motors sounds super crazy and wild, and the RBs have a calm, composed, angry sound. Love both motors regardless. Great review David!

All of the GTR's are good looking in their own way. They each have soul, except the R30/R31 and possibly the R35. The OG Hakosuka GTR, when done right has to be one of the most jawdropping cars in existence. As for the best looking one, I can't choose. The R32 is really clean looking, the R33 with Nismo aero or the 400R is a gorgeous unicorn and the Z Tune or Mines R34... i simply cannot choose one over the other.

Do your self a favor find a rb26 swapped gts-t (rwd) car feels completely different than both, and in my opinion is the funnest way to have a r32. Unfortunately mine on jack stands or I’d offer it. Edit: also single turbo no blowoff is the best sounding rb 👍🏻

R32's are definitely over priced and over hyped.... BUT, does not stop me from getting one soon, it's still one of my dream cars. I think all the wannabe fanboys and people that know nothing about them need to drive a stock Skyline GTR. It would do so much justice to the ridiculous pricing and over hyped persona of skylines. Same goes for supras, evos, rx7's, ect. Kill all the hype and over pricing by just showing most of the unknowledgeable car culture that they really are just average cars underneath all the media and movie fame. They're not that fast when they don't have a ton of money dumped into them. Alot of the pricing problems of JDM cars I think truly comes from a lack of knowledge and ignorance from the portrayal of the cars.

I'm in Australia. All Gtr's are over priced. An evo 9 is faster stock VS stock. Audi s5, S4. Both faster and cheaper with more potential. It's just hype that let's these things keep and gain in value

You just missed out! These cars are great around the 450-500HP range, but if you can ever get them up above 600HP, they will destroy anything around a track. If your ever in STL you'll have to find me and drive mine. Making 630HP to all wheels!

Am I crazy or is that turbo WAAAY too big for 500hp on a 2.6 ? I've seen people do 550ish on a rb25 that doesn't flow as well and with a gtx3071, a turbo that literally looks like it's half the size.

Yes, its worth going single assuming you're using a decent modern turbo and you want more than 600bhp (at the fwl) as you start getting horrendous shuffle with the bigger twins like the 2871s. After years of avoiding it I've now jumped to a single Borg Warner 9174 EFR and the driveability benefits alone make it worth it. Its an expensive jump though when you add up the cost of an exhaust manifold, turbo, external gate(s) and custom pipework. As for paying extra for a V-Spec - pretty pointless unless you plan on sticking it in a museum and never using it. Wnk factor only. If you plan on driving it and modifying it who cares and thats what the R32 GT-R is all about. Boring standard and amazing when modified. Nissan turned out a great, over egineered and strong basis for tuning and if you're driving a standard one you're really missing out.

I've always seen the R32 as my second favourite skyline generation after the hako. They're amazing cars but like basically anything I seem to like, people ask far more than the cars should really be worth. Yea I love the sound of the RB engine, uncorked there just isn't anything with that tone. I'm curious to know how the rest of his suspension setup compares to mine. I also have the fortunes on my GTR, but I've made some other choice mods that I'd be curious to get your thoughts on in comparison. Mine is stock power for now, but single turbo coming soon!
