Aaron's Golf R is extremely unique and blisteringly fast, it will leave my Stage 2 RS3 in the dust. It is a Mk 6 Golf R and so the interior and driving dynamics are exactly the same as a standard one (apart from the few nice touches he has added). The RS3 is more refined as a whole. It's more comfortable, easier to drive fast, more responsive down low and overall it acts as a better daily vehicle. At the end of the day, different horses for different courses :)

Considering now, that ypu can buy a DSG Mk6 Golf R now for sub 20k, a 30k upgrade tag would put that car in a 10second bracket and melt most things on the road. That's actually insane. Like, mental, when you consider the price on anything else now, like s chassis ect being 30k plus just for a 14, 33's now talking 20k plus and are all worn. That's just blown my mind. Mind you, I'm a mech That's worked at vw too.

Hi cool vid. Would have liked to see a launch. You said 307kw? I done 300kw on stock turbo with my 6gti. On TTEs we do +-340kw and big turbos like the GT28, GTX3076 etc we do about 360 here. Just rough estimates but we have k04 golfs close to that. And then I have a buddy with a big turbo 7R that actually snakes on launch like a damn rwd car. That's scary, he did 426kw last we dyno'd. #GoAPR Oh and there's a revlimit 6gti that does 10 flat. That's damn fast too.

@@Jackbangers I've got a Mk6R and I had to replace the whole block after rod #3 decided it needed a window. It needs forged rods at the bare minimum for stg3. Forged pistons are a preference, depending on how many cold starts you put the car thru. If its a daily, don't get forged pistons, just rods.
