$500m Nigeria for Women Project Will be Exclusively Used for Women Empowerment - Kennedy-Ohanenye

I was not pleased with how the initial $100 million from the $500 million Nigeria for Women Project loan was spent by the previous administration. Upon review by the ministry, in line with the renewed hope vision, we have restructured this loan with the aim of changing the lives of all vulnerable Nigerian women.

Tell that Uju that all of these their upscaled loans; from $100M to $500M instead of production in the country is part of the reason Naira is now worthless to foreign currencies. What will you do with 500M? Are you going to build create gigantic industries like poultry farming industries to a modern standard in each state so that those women will work and feed from there? Are you going to build fishery industries? . Buy modem farming equipments and distribute to the women so the stop breaking their backs whilst you seat in SUVs to AC mansions? Looking through the comments, I'm not sure why they're so negative towards the Minister. While I don't subscribe to the praise-singing of PBAT & the First Lady, I'm also objective enough to know she serves at the pleasure of the President & the terrain demands it. I mean Wike had to do it the other day. Other than that, the Minister spoke eloquently. I agree she should know the pilot states [6] but instead of concluding it was a gaffe or she forgot, have u considered that she avoided listing them to prevent national outcry? She did mention that she doesn't know tribe or religion so it's reasonable to conclude she just didn't want to say it. Cut her some slack.
