Very surprised that Dale didn't try and shoot at Shelob earlier in the game, given she had the relic all game and you get her to run with the survival instinct rule and it's a whole new ballgame. Cirith Ungol pretty much wanted to die at that point just to get the game over quicker, so killing the chaff played right into his hand.

Yeah I could have done that but then shelob runs and hides the whole game and it becomes a 10hr batrep. I could have shielded against the regular chaff to allow myself to get to the shelob but ultimately I still lose. If I play differently, then nick plays differently My best bet was to play for a draw. I only got lucky she rolled 3 ones for the transfix. Ultimately we play very differently in batreps/friendlies compared to in tournaments. We try and bring an element of fun for ourselves and for the views. Tournaments we don't care about fun, it's game on. -Sean

@@NoobsandMen That's very fair, yeah; the 3 straight transfixes isn't exactly something you can plan for, so no sense in focusing too much on it strategy-wise. You start shooting at her, and then maybe the next turn she rolls not a 1 and then you're back where you started anyways. Better to just have fun with it in the end, for sure.

Yeah good game. hard to balance playing the scenario competitively and still making it compelling viewing. glad to see Cirith Ungol on the table, as it's not a widely used Legion. Nick did well to maneuver to you, minimising your shooting advantage, and Sean you did well to Wallop him when he got there haha. would have been nice to see Shelob have a good brawl but 3 x 1s in a row is horrid haha
