Fred. Olsen Bolette | A foodie day in Amsterdam

A visit to a couple of our favourite food haunts in the city. A fantastic sail away passed Borealis. Dinner in a speciality dining venue.

Thanks for your videos of Bolette and the Fred Olsen cruise line. Been looking at booking with them and seeing your experience and the food has certainly not dissuaded us. Certainly looks our sort of cruise line! "Modern" 12 storey ships with casinos, flumes and go carts, ships that resemble the awfulness of Blackpool and Yarmouth, are really not our thing.

Great vlog as always. Amsterdam always better the second day I think. First night you do as everyone else does…Red light. Second day go out and see the real Amsterdam. Our favourite spot is a cafe up by the floating flower market. Lovely tea for Mrs G and Leffe beer for me. Yes Amsterdam is a wonderful city.

Fred Olsen look better than I thought to be honest, I didn't think they would be that great but they look quite nice, how would you rate the food to other cruise companies? What company would you say you get the most for your money ? Thanks for the vlog, as always very enjoyable.

It was a nice ship with nice little venues. We don't mind it being a bit dated because we like the size of ship. Food was mostly fine. Nothing exciting. Buffet even a bit average at times, but fine. Better value for money with Marella we'd say, although don't want to judge Fred Olsen too harshly as we've only sailed with them the once.
