50cc Moped goes to the Desert | Maxi Touring trip to Tunisia

Moped Travel to Africa, doing a tour on my 50cc Puch Maxi to the Sahara. More than a year after arriving back home from Mongolia I decided to do another trip, a bit smaller this time. Super editing, better sound and narration much better than your first series. I have been to Egypt a few times and lived in Sharm el Sheik for a year I had a scooter there an Italian one we called her Monica (a pack donkey) an Aprilia 50cc awesome bike I loved it, it was old but good and the roads here remind me of Egypt.

Ja des Getriebe ist inzwischen arg Laut, aber kaputt ists halt nicht nur "abgenutzt" und wird wohl drauf rauslaufen, dass ichs mal tausche, da die Lager eh auch langsam fertig sind.

In Österreich gibts keine Mofas vorm Gesetz nur Mopeds die dürfen alle 45 kmh fahren und bis 50 wird ein auge zugedrückt, und das fährt sie auch. Skandinavien klingt nice, Nordkapp oder so ist auch eines der Ziele wo ich mal hin möchte.

@@maxitouring Yes, but being on a 50cc for me, is the whole point and it makes what you do special over the others. Plus you have a great attitude and positive frame of mind.

What year is your maxi? I just picked up a 1980 Puch Newport II that I'm rebuilding (I have a 1977 Maxi S and a 1980 Magnum Mk II as well). It spent some time outside, so it looks like I'll need to replace the crankshaft bearings; shimming the ZA50 is not for the faint of heart.

They video is in 1080, at least for me here on KZbin. And interesting, I'll keep that in mind, the "Arctic" is certainly someplace i'd like to go on the moped someday.

@@maxitouring Would that be the real arctic, aka in the winter time? Been up north a few times and it actually is quite nice in the summer as well with midnight sun and all. Turns out I am missing a few codecs and can't look at html5 videos. I guess thats why it only gives me the option of 360p

@@Mr.Engineer. Well it's still awfully cold then, and my biggest concern would be space, since on my trips in warmer climates the maxi was pretty much completely full of stuff, and I am not sure how I could transport the additional gear.

yeah, wie cool! ein neues Abenteuer, bin schon auf die nächsten videos gespannt. Bin selbst grad am überlegen ob es möglich ist von marokko nach ägypten zu fahren, scheint aber bissi kompliziert zu sein.

Ja Algerien und vor allem Libyen sind aktuell sehr schwer und wegen anhaltender kämpfe gefährlich zu bereisen

Danke, aber du glaubst gar nicht wo überall Mofa gefahren wird und nachdem fast jeder in Deutschland auch englisch kann, anderst rum aber fast gar nicht, find ich das schon vertretbar, oder sollte man allen anderen interessierten vorenthalten was in den videos erzählt wird? :D

hmm die Kolbenringe gehen recht lange, aber ich kanns nicht genau sagen, da ich nach der Mongolei-Reise einen anderen Zylinder mit Kolben (bereits gebraucht) montiert habe, aber 10.000km gehen bei den originalen leicht. Ich bin zu hause, die Reise in Tunesien war im September 2019
