Wearing Wide-Leg Jeans When You’re Over 50

I’ve gotten several emails from ladies asking if women over 50 can wear wide-leg jeans. One lady mentioned that a co-worker commented that she dressed too modern and trendy and was trying to look like a teenager. Excuse me; I’m wearing wide-leg jeans, and I’m over 50, and who decided that only younger women had the market for looking modern? That is a bunch of bull hockey, and I will prove it today.

Loved this video and great styling tips. I just bought the Chico's trouser jeans in dark blue, but purchased the black ones last winter. They are the BOMB!!! I am 5'3" and I ordered petites, and wear them with booties --- so cute! Just a note: Your sound was pretty low, and I checked everything on my computer.

Wide leg jeans are not trendy, theyre classic, been wearing them since the 70s! Love all your outfits. Ps wide leg pants are not meant to be worn with platform shoes.

I love them and think they are classy and they're definitely one of the most modest and mature options out there, minus rips and holes and crazy distressing, of course. They look very polished and mature, in my opinion, especially since they aren't skin tight.

Ive finally embraced high waisted and wide leg styles, but after working so hard to tone up and lose weight, I will still keep my skinny jeans in my rotation regardless if they are 'out'.

There are several iterations of wide legs out there. I think the moderately wide styles look best on most women. Personally I'm loving these jeans, especially those with an extra high cut waist. They look great on my 5'3" frame, actually making me appear taller. Add a cropped top, a 1.5 inch heel, a great handbag, and I'm out the door! By the way I'm 72 years young. 😊

Of course you can wear platforms with wide leg trousers, just look at all the influencers they also lengthen your legs and accommodate the length of some wide length pants.
