Thanks for reminding me NOT to sign up to this race again. Was there too, only doing the 30k, the sand and lack of shade was terrible. Filling up all clothes with ice at every aid station was crucial for survival. Nice to see that we all struggled the same way :D

Truly outstanding!! When I saw the video drop I could not imagine anything better than getting to soak-up some Viv goodness...however, being able to see that performance and hear your narration was truly epic! Whatever race organizer decided to start a race in TX in August in the afternoon needs some serious counselling. Despite being an epic video, I am sure that it could not come close to capturing the actual depth of your suffering and the truly epic level of effort that you and your crew were able to put into each step. I would like to be the first to officially reword the phrase "beast mode" to "Viv mode"!

I'm not a runner (hurt my knees really badly being very underweight in the military) but I work in the heat of Texas and this heat is something else. Please come back in the winter for a completely different landscape and much respect for your pain.
