Download the manuals and play around with you settings until you find what you like. When running high power thermal rollback is required. Does motor have thermistor? Field weakening causes heat buildup.
@maximumchargeEV5 ай бұрын
it has the thermistor, but I have no way to read it because the controller doesn't support it. Any ideas on how I can read that sensor with some other type of device? It's the white wire near all of the hall sensor wires.
@rufusirvin52795 ай бұрын
@@maximumchargeEV sabvoton controllers are like BIC lighters disposable. There are far better controllers that support thermal rollback. That field weakening really adds to heat. White wire is for speed. Grey wire is thermistor. Some controllers like ASI and Phaserunner support duplexing of speed and thermistor by putting speed and thermistor in parallel then hook white wire to grey. Definitely fero fluid will help. Does that sabvoton support variable Regen? Would definately help in your braking and you would not have to upgrade brakes plus save on brake pads. Probably cheaper to get a controller with thermal rollback and variable Regen than replacing a motor . If bike feels Shakey try a fork stabilizer.

I think I'm prepared to purchase the frame battery. Is it really only around 30 lbs compared to the 52 lbs Goat offering. That's a drastic difference imo. If you want even more flexibility and speed, switch over to a Fardriver controller. My build will consist of a QS273 8kw, 72v Molicel battery, & a Fardriver ND961800 track version controller, which can pull 1350 line amps and push 1800 phase amps. The bonus of such an over build is a massive increase in efficiency in addition to high speed. A 72v system with a quality uses less energy at 30mph than a 48v system. And voltage sag is also practically eliminated on a high voltage system. Or, if you don’t want that high of power, you can always slap on a front motor & additional controller for some awd grip…

careful with the FW - if you give it 10 amps. It'll be doing normal amps + 10 amps. You lose a bit of torque with FW. So FW might increase the high end top speed, but its a matter of whether the torque is still there to reach that speed. There is a sweet spot for FW that you can find. I think how Justin at grin tech says to set it up, is to measure the unloaded wheel power draw (full throttle/off ground), increase FW, measure power draw, etc, if you plot the unloaded wheel power draw and FW amps on a graph, there will be some point where increased FW starts to increase the power draw and create diminishing returns.
@maximumchargeEV5 ай бұрын
Oh yeah I figured 90 amps + 10 amps of FW = 100amps total for the max output of the controller. SO the FW decreased torque even at lower RPM? I would have assumed that the software turns it on only at higher speeds.

How many amps is battery capable of putting out that the key to power. That tank battery based on my calculations can only do 125amp output max. The BMS on the second battery is only 60 A you will never be able to use the full capabilities of that controller. You need a higher amp producing battery. Something that at least can produce 150 to 200 A in my opinion. Plus the ballot battery blender only allow you to do 80 the top battery probably got to BMS. That’s stopping it at 60 or 80 so the set up is not even able to pull from the batteries enough power.
@maximumchargeEV4 ай бұрын
good question. The tank battery can output a nominal 50 amps, and the larger battery can do more, mine is set to 80 amps, but could probably handle more. since the bottom battery is 2x the size it will do more work when run in parallel with the smaller battery. so for example, the bottom battery will give 60 amps, and the top battery will give 30, maxing out the 100amp controller I have installed, while also not stressing out either battery. The blender is rated for 120 amps, but I will be removing that element in the next revision.

@@maximumchargeEV according to the data sheet on 60v25ah Samsung should be able to take 125amp output I saw your face book post. It is.
