How good is it having a Larry in your life sharing his knowledge and skills with you! Even if most of the apprentice inputs failed to obtain the Larry stamp of approval🙂 Keep trying to reach that very high quality bar👍

You got a great friend there, teaching you how to do the alignments. Also, Larry didn't discourage you from doing this MIGHTY project. I'm happy for you, don't skimp, fix it the right way. Keep this '58 for yourself!!

'Not Larry approved' and in some parts 'not Josh approved'. Josh is a great kid and nothing wrong with 'winding up' his Dad once in a while! We know what a sorry state the car was in so you did well under Larry's tuition, huge thanks to Larry. This is a new year and a new start so good luck for the year ahead Jason. 👍👍👍

Thanks so much for the reply of this amazing vlog!!!! I do remember watching it way back when, and huge props to Larry for closing a eye, but still making sure you did everything right! It came out amazing. Not sure how much actual time was dedicated to all that work but i know how much time just one floor pan takes so heater chanels, rear cross members and A and B pillars would be weeks of full time work. Im Proud of you Jayson! Thanks for bringing this project to us all!

Nice save BTW. I almost went this far on Herbie. The rear luggage compartment was decent and passenger side heater Channel was previously replaced by so called professionals so naturally I had to fix that. They cut off the rear support that attaches to the torsion tube. People may say why put that much work into an old VW beetle but valuable lessons were learned by doing this job!

You watch him 5 minutes and you can see a lifetime of knowledge coming into your living room ! You are very fortunate to have a friend like him ! Also I’m sending you some spray bottles Perfect to put Kroil in ! I have never saw you use it one time so this should solve this problem! I’m sure Larry will agree Kroil is the best ! If you will ask him and let me know I’ll send a gallon to him as a present from you ?

Congrats on the progress. HUGE transformation... Like you said, the hardest part is over. The smaller repairs that are left to do, won't seem so overwhelming, and that will make it a lot easier to keep motivated... It sounds like your welding is getting better. One of these days it will be like someone flipped a switch, and all of the sudden your welding will be really good and consistent. For some reason I'm really liking this car, and I'm looking forward to watching the next videos.

Back in the 70's I worked with a kid named Joel, he was a Pothead and I always had to crack the whip to get any work out of him. Otherwise he was OK, a little weird but always had crazy ideas. It was the 70's and everyone had bugs. His bug was this color and had a mint original body and paint and his idea to keep it pristine was to take his drain oil and pour Into door window sills and all other areas that had voids and including heater boxes. 😆 I told him that he needed to paint the car green and white and paint Quaker state on it. That 30w oil had a distinct smell. Every time he parked the car it made oil stains 😂 I asked him about how the car handled. 😁 This car definitely isn't THAT car. If you ever run across a car with a mint body that smells like Quaker State drain oil , you will have come across Joel's car 👀
