This is really helpful. I play mostly solo games and inevitably have to return to play throughs to brush up on games I’ve forgotten how to play (it’s such a good game especially with the Borgo solo and this is an excellent play through!) Thanks very much for it. Not my first time using it … and probably won’t be the last time either 😂 (I’m getting old = degrading, or I’m playing too many games = degrading my bank balance or both.😊)

Thank you. I did have to learn the standard solo first to be able to understand this one. Great video again. 😊

Looks like a great game. Totally passed this during crowd funding as I wasn’t into apocalyptic theme or mad max theme. However after watching the gameplay both MP & solo I instantly loved it. Luckily they’re offering the ultimate edition at my FLGS. Hopefully coming out sometime this Q3.

I'm a big fan of this card game. It has that addictive, quick, satisfying turn feeling I get from great card games. Nice pacing. Good decisions. And the new solo mode is really well done. Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for checking out the video.

@@TotallyTabled yes I can see how it can get addicting. Fast gameplay, i wonder if it’s too quick. I want it a little longer. I will just have to keep playing it then over and over 😀. Definitely have some great decisions. The multi use card abilities. Not just 2 but 3! You can build, raze and deal. Love that! Love watching your videos. Keep it up!

Late watching this, but glad I did. I enjoy deck builders and those with multi-use cards even more. I'm going to snag this one, based on your solo play through and the nice components.

Great game with lots to explore both solo and multiplayer. And a quick playtime with snappy turns and an easy to run AI. Love it. Let me know what you think once you get it tabled. Thanks for watching!

I think that you're much too scared of Open Production Locations. They grant you 1 Worker if Borgo uses them, that's half a card, which is by far the most important of the Goods in the game. The Excavator, that you didn't draft in the 2nd round's Lookout Phase, is an absolutely stellar card!
@TotallyTabled
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
I'm sure you are right. Nobody should watch this channel looking for strategy tips. 😂I had one game where Borgo kept hammering my open production and with the Winter deck he was getting 2 workers a pop, and I found it hard to keep up. I probably have trauma from that game and I've overcorrected. Thanks for watching!

I really like how this played, I received my copy a couple weeks ago, but have only had time to punch everything out and sleeve the card’s. I’m very intimidated by the amount of cards in this game and have no clue what cards go to what. I couldn’t see any indicators that certain cards belong to certain expansions or whatnot. Looks fun though. This game looks pretty fun.
@TotallyTabled
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
On the cards it says which expansions they go with. The base cards are marked "51st State." Use those and shuffle in the Winter cards or the New Era cards to form a deck. You only use one expansion at a time. Hope you enjoy the game and thanks for watching!

@@TotallyTabled Settler's art I like, for me. The rules, very similar. Not sure which came first. Settlers I think. 51st State certainly has a stronger in theme, by a itty-bitty.

@@TotallyTabled Yeah man, great game. I had the same question about which connection card Borgo selects if there are 2. I agree playing with either New Era or Winter is a good idea, you don't have access to the shield tokens just playing the base game. Sometimes Borgo can be ultra aggressive. Thanks for the vid and all you do for the hobby 🤘✌️

Hmm what do you think about replayability. Is there only Borgo or there's somekinf od scenarios or other automas? I'm afraid it will be boring after few games. Maybe Gloomhaven or Arnak is the better choics 🤔
@TotallyTabled
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
Borgo behaves different depending on the expansion you use. Some of these expansions really change up the gameplay and add more complexity. I think for a quick card game, this has a ton of replayability. Gloomhaven is a completely different beast. You can play that for years because it is a massive dungeon crawler. It is all about which experience you are looking for. Thanks for watching!

Maybe if you are not busy you could record same game playing with standard solo rules? I love the way you teach, you make no mistakes while playing and that is a big deal in my opinion. I stopped watching other content creators as they have to correct their moves with subtitles that is discouraging to watch.
@TotallyTabled
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
I appreciate that, but I make mistakes all the time. I get it -- a lot of creators are rushing, churning out videos and being sloppy, careless, and sometimes worse, they simply don't care. But I work as hard as anyone to get the rules right and I still make tons of mistakes, some that are incredibly stupid. People who don't know my process could think I'm being sloppy and get frustrated with the errors. I imagine you will stop watching my videos too once you see more of them, so I'll give this little speech for anyone seeing it. The truth is, nobody has ever played a board game of moderate complexity 100% correctly. If you don't believe me, film yourself playing a game and put it on the Internet. You'll learn this lesson quick. 😂 One of the hardest parts of creating playthroughs is the focus on rules mistakes and how annoyed people get with them. The pressure to be perfect saps the fun out of the play experience. I'm all alone dealing with lights, cameras, mics, I'm teaching the rules as I play, I'm trying to employ good strategy and keep up the energy after hours of play. Mistakes are inevitable. And after spending dozens of hours editing and putting out a video, having comments just pointing out errors, sometimes the smallest things without even acknowledging the tremendous work that they are enjoying for free -- it makes you never want to make a video again. And that happens every video. I'm happy you found this video enjoyable and I'm glad I minimized mistakes in this one, but I would ask you to try to enjoy my videos even when I'm not perfect. You are not perfect. You make triple the rules mistakes than you realize. Give creators a break with the rules. Most are trying their best. You don't understand how hard it is until you try it. So try it. I did. I guarantee your attitude will change. Thanks for watching!

May be a dumb question, but the ultimate back doesn’t have the university board you are playing with right? Is it from the older sets?
@TotallyTabled
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
The ultimate edition has everything, including the university board. I'm not sure about the previous edition, which was called the Master Set. It might have been a separate promo. Thanks for checking out the video!

The Ultimate Edition from the Gamefound campaign will have the University board along with the four base factions and three other factions. If you get the Ultimate Edition at retail, though, it only has the base four faction boards unfortunately. You can buy two of the boards direct from Portal Games (University and Mississippi), but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to buy the other two factions. However, all four of the extra factions are available for free download as a PDF direct from Portal!
