Awwww these look so relaxing! Too bad board games like these are half of a month's salary (earning a minimum wage) if you live in Brazil. And these are "cheap" ones. So sad...

What a quirky little game. I had seen a playthrough previously, but found yours more intriguing. (No surprise there: you're skilled at showcasing game play!) Reminds me a little bit of Arkham Noir, a solo card game where you're adding investigation cards to a case in order to solve it. Have you ever played it?
@TotallyTabledКүн бұрын
No, I've never played Arkham Noir but I'll definitely do some research because I like that theme. I'm a fan of these little quick card games. Thanks for watching the playthrough.

Hey , have you played Terraforming Mars Automa? The new solo mode? I love Terraforming Mars. I’m only playing solo games now, but one I’m crazy about is Zhanguo:The First Empire. It’s just great. The Automa is so simple , yet creates a great feeling of being playing against someone else

If you like quick, light traditional solo card games -- like Patience -- this is one worth checking out. It won't hold up to constant plays, but for a nice play every once in a while, I think it works nicely. Thanks for watching!

Great vid. I haven’t played many solo games. But i enjoyed very much Expeditions (sequel to Scythe), Dune Imperium. Vindication and the last one that I played and blew mi mind if Zhanguo: the first empire, wow, how good it is, I recommend you to try it, if you haven’t yet.

If these are the top 10 cozy games, it's kind of sad. I guess we still have much to come up with. I had something quite different in mind and started searching if cozy board games are a thing... yes, and often many elements are there, but... I hope the future is better, and I want to help too (sure, my negative comment doesn't help much, and I didn't explain what I had in mind and what my critique is).

We love Great Western Trail, and we love to play it with two players. We have the first edition which is said to be a bit easier than the second edition and we think it isn ´t heavy at all , more like a medium weight game 🎉 This game is quite easy to learn, but with all of the options you have, you can discover a lot of different strategies and tactics - it is really entertaining🎉

In addition to A Gentle Rain, I think my coziest feeling solo games are Three Sisters (even though the automa crosses things off, it never feels like it hampers much, and the theme feels cozy for me) and Get on Board: Paris & Roma (cute art and components, building my little route, love love). Cartographers too, though I only have the main version.

Those are great choices. I own the original Get on Board, which I think is called Let's Make a Bus Route, and I've been meaning to give it a try. Thanks for the great suggestions and thanks for checking out the video!

What a lineup of challenges you had in mission 3. I always seem to draw angry mobs or something. But it seems you ran out of luck after that. Nearly got 3/3 though, well played!
@TotallyTabled7 күн бұрын
Yeah, it was a weird game. I had really good luck throughout the game with challenge cards, but really bad luck at the end. I think that was the third most difficult collection of conviction cards possible. But I didn't really have witches that could manipulate or reveal the conviction cards easily, so that was always going to be up in the air. It was a fun playthrough. Thanks for checking it out!

I totally suck at my newest purchase: Spectacular the solo mode 😮 How on earth are you supposed to gain 200 points, let alone 280 ??? But I totally enjoy and love this game 🎉 The difference: games I suck at and don ´t enjoy: Area control games. Woodcraft 😮 I am not able to build a functioning engine, so mostly in Round 8 or 9 I am without any resources 😮I don ´t enjoy this game anymore, but I still have it - maybe I ´ll give it another try. Agricola - my worst nightmare 😮 Feeding your family… the horror. This tight game and the feeding-mechanic was so bad for me (I sold it, because I hated it), so that if I hear now that in a game you have to feed something or someone - I skip immediately 😮 Evolution for example - that game caught my interest, but as soon as I heard that you have to feed your animals: no thank you. And Agricola destroyed my interest for more Uwe Rosenberg games, because in most of them: you are short on resources and have to feed your family 😮
@TotallyTabled7 күн бұрын
Check out my playthrough of At the Gates of Loyang, Oranienburger Kanal, and Black Forest. No feeding necessary and not at all stressful like Agricola. More relaxing and puzzly. I also don't think A Feast for Odin feels very stressful or punishing, even though you do have to feed. Again, check out my playthrough to see what I mean. I'd hate for you completely abandon Uwe Rosenberg -- his games are so fantastic! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@b.21946 күн бұрын
@ Thank you for encouraging me to try an other Uwe Rosenberg game. I did watch your playthrough of At the Gates of Loyang and I have to admit: it looks quite relaxing! And it is the kind of puzzly game I like…. But: this game is being sold totally overpriced here in Germany, it is unbelievable! At the moment there is a game at an auction, maybe I am lucky and can get it for a reasonable price, otherwise I ´ll have to wait. Oranienburger Kanal is not available here in Germany…. Unbelievable too. A Feast for Odin is too heavy for me: too many options to choose from, it would feel like work for me Black Forest… nah - I don t´ know. Thanks again! Have a nice week 🎉

I really like the trial at the end (calculated push your luck), but really hate villagers deck. My very first play...first 2 villagers cards were 3 and 2. Wish this was not part of the mechanics.
@TotallyTabled6 күн бұрын
I totally see where you are coming from there. That is harsh. It forces you to place a premium on avoiding villager deaths, but that can be hard to do sometimes. Randomness is definitely part of this game. Thanks for watching!

Funnily enough, I found out (through Rob's Gaming Table) that the campaign mode in this game is the one you should play first, because the standalone mode with the trials is much harder and you need some experience in the game to beat it.

Which one you choose? resist or witchcraft
@dksocal7 күн бұрын
I'm curious to hear TT's reply on this too, as I own Resist!, and while I love it and this system, it is an absolutely brutal game.
@Think_Table7 күн бұрын
@@dksocal The mechanism of these two games is exactly the same. What made you prefer resist?
@TotallyTabled7 күн бұрын
That is tough. Resist I found to be unforgiving -- more like a survival game where you expect to lose. Witchcraft is still difficult to fully win, but I feel like I have a better chance. The powers of the witches and how they interact with each other makes building the coven and finding combos a bit more straightforward. You feel more powerful. I also like the end game of Witchcraft. I think Witchcraft is the more mainstream and enjoyable version overall. I personally like brutal games, so I have a lot of affection for Resist, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Witchcraft. But it is really a personal choice. Thanks!

@TotallyTabled8 күн бұрын
Both are great. Resist is definitely the more hardcore of the two. This one feels less like a brutal survival game and more like a mainstream strategy card game. I enjoy the end game on Witchcraft a bit more. A really great system all around. Thanks for watching!
