This one is made by CEI, not SMC. I can tell be the vents on the motor itself. Should say Made in Thailand on the top.

Yeah it does not look like SMC. However I did see CEI with fully circular vents on bottom of the motor, made in 2002 (Hampton Bay Landmark Plus) and in 1990s, and he said it's from 2000, and vents look different. Also, Hampton Bay made by CEI doesn't seem to have obvious date, but a 3 letter code which ONLY applies to Hampton Bay made by CEI, where first two letter means year and third letter means month, and it seems like he already knows it's made in 2000. Though the next owner of this fan said he wasn't sure of the year.
