Let’s hear it for those who really cared for this truck from the get go. I’m rather impressed with the truck. My dad bought a 1951 REO new, let many drivers behind the wheel, monitoring each one at times. I was born being aware of this truck and growing to love it. When I wanted to drive, this was the truck I began with. What a blast! I’ve spent many hours behind the wheel and am now in the process of restoring it, honoring my dad and oldest brother.

Back in the 1960's, there was a cattle hauling company in Arizona that would come to South Gate California to pick up roofing materials where I worked. IIRC, there were two brothers that alternated coming to pick up the roofing. Their trucks were just like this one except they were painted Green. Again IIRC, the cattle haulers were driving for Knudson or Knudsen Trucking. I always liked "swamping" for them. Great ol' trucks.

I remember when Ivan Fahrnsworth in Carson City,Nv owned this truck.Reminds of the livestock trucks my dad drove back in the 60's when there were a lot of feedlots in Ca.

Thanks! This footage was shot 15 years ago. My youngest of four kids has one more year of college and then I'll get some new HD video equipment and get back at it!
