suggestion: add a 2" receiver to near the top of the boom, facing rearward. lower the boom, attach the trailer so that you can use the trailer like a tilt-deck. back it up to the broken machine, and then use the winches to drag the broken machine up the tilted trailer, strap it down, and then use the boom to lower the trailer down low enough to stabilize it and re-hook up to the back of the wrecker.

Man I love love love this video. Outstanding camera work by everyone. Great driving by Caulin. Love watching the WLORW do what it does best. Truly a machine without equal on those trails. Very adaptable and capable of the incredible challenge of terrain and traction conditions. The closeup shots from the trailer perspective where we can see the WLORW axles working are one of the reasons I keep coming back to MORR again and again. And Peanut is the biggest star on the trail- she's a hard-working dog! Thanks again Matt!

I was in Utah Earlier this week and got the joy of visiting the yard and seeing the all the rigs in person including the in process spud truck. Wow the wrecker is a machine and so cool to be up close to along with the rest of the fleet. Thanks to Matt for letting fans come into the yard and take look around. Hey Matt oilfield worker here. We have “ bed trucks with gin poles” for when you’re moving around drilling rig equipment. I think the gin pole (welded onto the off-road trailer) set up would work really well for this scenario, as you are often working with broken suspension side by sides. Cheers

I love watching the trailer recoveries. Mainly because they're such a logistical nightmare sometimes, and it's great to watch the skill with which the driver operates the rig through trails. Sidenote, I have no idea why anyone would put portal boxes on a SXS. They already are known for weak suspension links and joints.

I used to have a collie that I used to gather sheep. In the winter, she would lie up against the fire box of the range in the kitchen, in the summer, after being out gathering sheep off the moors, she would jump straight into the water trough when we got back to the farmhouse. I also had another collie that I trained for search and rescue, she would surmount any obstacle in her way. There's no finer breed of dog!!

You'll be hard pressed to find a dog happier to work than a Collie. Maybe a heeler but they're nuts to begin with. Collie's are great dogs, but they need to run at the very least. I don't have the place or purpose for one, but maybe someday. The long hair would be a nightmare in my area due to all the cheatgrass.

With GoPro's at least, they make a harness for dogs that you mount to the body, and the action camera on that, with stabilization (which is normally on, even on this channel) and it should be usable. I've seen it in action and it does work. Especially if you mount a GoPro 360 Max to the pooch.

On videos like these it’s cool, but actually living there if you aren’t a mormon is difficult. On the surface everyone will be very polite and kind, but behind the scenes is a different story. Particularly in the smaller communities and cities. Not easy to get a home, get a good job, etc. Better to visit.

Every time I see the wrecker in action I am taken back to about 1960 when I got a "remote" controlled tank. There was a thin wire from remote to tank. The tanks was about 3 ft long. But it would climb over anything. My friends and I would build obstacles for it to crash thru or climb over. The wrecker gives that exact feeling. Thanks.

I realize that the camera doesn't catch everything. Or doesn't give the true scale of everything. I also realize that you can't carry every concievable tool. But more than once I've wondered why you and the other YT towers don't bring any ski(d)s on the rescues where you know you'll be dealing with a vehicle that can't even roll. Tucking a pair of runners or skis under something that can't roll can make it amazingly easier to drag along. There's one guy in particular, who likes to "rescue" heavy iron, who'll happily drag a dozer with locked treads for miles down dirt roads. Admittedly, the stuff I drag is a lot lighter than most vehicles. But then again, it's usually me - not a machine - that does the pulling. Apart from that, I like the attitude and the spirit in these videos. If I was doing your kind of work, I'd try carrying something like two pieces of road guard rail with a ski tip bend at one end. I'm quite certain that'd make dragging uncooperative/un-operating vehicles along a lot easier.
