You have shown me things I didn’t know could be done with a beading foot. Your style of presentation is very clear. I am amazed at how well you capture the vision considering you are using your phones. Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for doing these highly instructional videos.

Great videos, I’ve never been able to work out how to use the various feet supplied with my machine but your videos have explained everything I need to know. I’m looking forward to seeing more. Thank you

Needles do not collide with pearls? How? I have singer SM024 can this work on it?
@QueenBee1755

It can if you don't prep it correctly. Always manually turn the needle up and down several times to test your set up first! I do not have a Singer so I'm not sure but the feet say 'universal'.

Thank you for this video, I didn't even know that this can be achieved with a machine. My machine came with one of the clear foot, I was wondering what it was for.

I've got at least 10 yards of rhinestones in silver and multicolor. Wondered what to do with these apart from making tiaras for friends. Your idea is so brilliant. It could be sewn onto backpacks and a perfect way to attract the eye of passersby. I must find my presser foot for beads and try these on rounded shapes. Not good at it tho🙄. I always had problems triming the length of the rhinestone chain. It leaves the flat metal part visible. Please do you have a secret for a perfect trim? Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile 😁🌞🌞💐💐💐

I use a dremel tool with a cut off wheel or stone grinder wheel. If you don't have this, you can try cutting it with a 'tail' (a little long) and use a small needle nose pliers to bend it to the back or cut as close as possible and use something like a stone grinder (stone for sharpening blades and knives) to gently grind it flat. It might just take a little time. Dremel drills, with different tips, are awesome to have around the home. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!!

You could try using a flush cutter tool, often used in jewelry making.

Wonderful video ! Now that I have your videos I finally can use presser feet that before I had no idea how to use ❤️❤️❤️. What size thread do you use in the bobbin ? Thanks so much !
@QueenBee1755
@QueenBee1755 11 ай бұрын
Thank you! I mainly use matching thread in the bobbin but, depending on the project, I do change it up sometimes. On regular stuff, a regular all-purpose thread is usually fine. I have also used clear filament through heavy duty and jean thread. The weight that you can use is determined by the machine and the project.

I'd be tempted to try a very short shell tuck stitch instead of a regular zigzag. If you had (say) 3mm beads, and a 6-step cycle for the shell tuck stitch (4 straight on the left, then 1 across to the right, then 1 back to the left), you'd set the stitch length to 0.5mm. Then you'd be crossing at the gaps between beads/rhinestones, not angling across the tops of them so much.

I agree. I have used that stitch often but forgot about it here. There are so many different ways to do things. It's great when others contribute here! Thank you!

Is there a risk you break the needle
@QueenBee1755
@QueenBee1755 4 жыл бұрын
This depends on several factors. That is why it is so important for running tests first. Make sure: 1. needle placement of front to back is correct (because different machine may vary slightly) 2. the correct width and length are set 3. use the manual needle function on your machine to advance the motion several rotations while watching where the needle falls 4. then on slowest speed, proceed Once you have thoroughly tested everything, then you should be ok, but I would recommend NOT using the fastest speed. This is a low speed operation.

What size needle?
@QueenBee1755
@QueenBee1755 4 жыл бұрын
The size and type of the needle should be based on the type of fabric you are sewing. The size I normally use for regular cotton and poly/cotton fabric is a 70.
