I heard it is best to dyno in 6th gear for the ZF8 as that is the 1:1 ratio gear and it better for dyno runs. I bet your numbers would go up also. My shop only dynos ZF8s in 6th gear.

It can handle up to 450-480 no issue stock internals. Anything past that start looking at E or meth

On 21psi ??? I hope you guys realize the car is on a low boost setup rn. I even stated it in the Video. Pures for the n55 are not good at all TBH the manifold design for our engines are junk. Turn them up too much and they blow up. Turbo kits that replace the manifold are better. It’s a process and when I get to dyno on high boost we will see those numbers. Until then I’m enjoying the process 🤘🏽You also have to look at where the car makes its torque. Hybrid turbos make nice torque down low unlike a bigger turbo as what I’ll have. But up top your torque starts to fall off and that right where my turbo wakes up. I’m okay with not as much punch down low just to get that reward up top. Look at it like show vs. grow ............with Pures what you see is what you get with big boost you dont know until you get it going!!

Slowspeed you know that n55 motor is a risk after 550whp... so what’s the point of low boost when you can’t turn it up💀... I would understand if you had the b58 but n55 with big boost is a waste of time and money!!

Rhodybimmers the N55 can take way more than 550whp. As I was stating before it’s all in the exhaust manifold design of the stock and hybrid n55. Exhaust gas temps and pressures are very important and the stock manifold does not allow the gases to escape as freely in certain cylinders. That in turn is what will blow these motors. Some people say they overcome the issue by adding a n52 cam which keeps the exhaust valve open longer (assuming) but not sure as I have not went that route. Basically what I’m saying is change the manifold and your golden. A lot safer power and also bigger turbos take longer to spool which is kinda sorta better because you don’t have all that rod bending torque down low. It’s all about research man! Plus big turbo vs. hybrids is hard because you can’t compare the two and that’s me being 💯 it all depends on what your style is

Slowspeed I understand what you saying mike & my motor is very safe, I’m runing meth to cool it down by 10x & spent way less compared to the route you went. Not hating on big boost but pure just doesn’t it so well! I have dyno result to prove the power delivery! It’s just always there not like big boost that you gotta wait all the way before it hits & when it finally hit you go into limp mode💀.. ohh & my buddy runs high 11’s consistently!

I actually have used both, if you are custom tuned it really doesn’t matter just go with whatever one your tuner prefers!
