I like Spirit! I call it honesty in pricing. You save $200 on a flight, but pay $3 for a Coke on board. Works for me! I also like that because they charge more for carry on than checked bags, very few people bring carry on bags, so boarding and exiting go more smoothly.

I actually find the seats on Frontier to be the most comfortable domestic economy seats. They fit the shape of my back perfectly. Mitch even though you would be miserable I think it would be so funny if you reviewed all of the budget airlines around the world. It’s so entertaining! 🤣

Nicole - I totally agree that the Caribbean offers some beaches that can't be beat! But I have to say ... we were in Hawaii in January, and there are two beaches that I would recommend that are pretty special and can't be found in the Caribbean: On the southern side of the Big Island, the Papakolea green sand beach is absolutely worth the hike! And on Maui, just past the town of Hana, the red sand at Koki Beach was a beautiful surprise - and Huli Huli Chicken was a great lunch stop there, too!

Awesome episode! Did that same route Serena, Vienna to Bratislava (then to Budapest). From Park Hyatt Vienna to Lindner Bratislava, a contrast in hotels for sure. But Lindner was not bad at all, good points value for a decent hotel room, it was attached to a mall, so convenient with lots of restaurant options. In Budapest, stayed at Intercon, Hyatt blasphemy for sure, but the Danube River view was hard to beat. Mitch, kudos to you for being a good sport with the Spirit challenge. But I'm with you, no Spirit flight for me.

What’s a mixed cabin business class? Is that not a good idea? Is it better for them to be separated?
@LetsGetToThePoints7 ай бұрын
This is when one leg is in business class and the other leg is in economy. Good or bad depends on what you’re looking for. Sometimes having a short leg in Econ can reduce the award cost of the entire trip and that can be a good thing!

Great show like always. I have a question . I am 48 months already for my Sapphire preferred card if I want to get another one do I have to downgrade it first ? and how long do I wait till I apply for the new one? I want to get the elevated offer, thanks Advance
@LetsGetToThePoints7 ай бұрын
Hi Caroline! Thank you for watching! Yes, you’ll want to make sure it’s been 48 months since your last bonus and you are under 5/24. Downgrading is the best option to keep any existing points alive. We’ve heard waiting about 2 weeks increases chances of an auto approval. Be prepared to call the reconsideration line if you are denied or have a backup plan for transferring your points if for some reason Chase does not offer you an approval. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
@ileshpatel3907 ай бұрын
Great informative video again team! I am way over 5/24 and already have CSP. Also, is AF 50K business class offer over? I can't find any flights from SFO-EU or to SFO from EU.
@LetsGetToThePoints7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately a lot of the availability is gone. The best and easiest way to search for the 50k dates is on seats.aero. Explore/AF/ filter by SFO and sort the business column. We have a promo code if you want a discount and need to see dates further out than 3 months.

@@LetsGetToThePoints The seats are pretty similar (neither have padding) but had a better experience beginning to end with Spirit employees over Frontier, (might have to do with the airport too). Also, my whole family (of 4) were able to get the "big seats" from Carribean to USA for 12 bucks each and the big seats were MUCH better though, for sure. 😉

Oh man. I hope to get that Air France deal in 2025. Missed pit this year but already have all my vacations booked. As far as a challenge I would say Mitch should compare and contrast Frontier but I do think he's suffered enough... and who better to co pare and contrast Spirit and Frontier than Nicole who is a Spirit expert! 😂
@LetsGetToThePoints7 ай бұрын
Great idea! Nicole should try Frontier!!!
@jasonlaw10797 ай бұрын
Frontier has been worse than spirit but I think they are both changing. In my experience, Spirit has been lax on enforcing some rules because they were going to be bought by Jetblue. But now that they are operating in the red with no lifeline, they might start enforcing those rules. Frontier is also offering packages that include seat selection and a carry-on for $30. Spirit Seatbid can provide decent deals. I've gotten exit rows for $3 and the front seat for $10-15 for short hops. ULCCs have many, many, many problems but I like the option of paying almost nothing if I don't need a carry-on and checked bag. I feel like some of you could benefit from some exposure therapy to some actually physically uncomfortable situations to get some perspective. Things like Ultras, Crossfit, obstacle racing, and, heavens forbid, sitting in a plastic seat for an hour.
@LetsGetToThePoints7 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience. Are you suggesting the challenge for Miguel be….CrossFit? He might accept if there’s CrossFit at a travel destination and if he can fly Frontier to get there. ✈️
