Hello from Texas. I do have fewer questions to ask. I see 2 beehives in the background. I like to be able to haul pallets of beehives. 1. This brand has a self level adapter for such things? 2.What warranty did they have? How much cost this size tractor with the front loader and the backadapter? Hard to remove that swarm.

My dad told me to level out a clearing we made in the woods where we took out a bunch of tree stumps, he pretty much said figure it out, I made the ground worse by not knowing what I was doing, after watching this I fixed most of the ground but there's still plenty left to do. Thank you for making these kinds of videos they are very informative for a teenager with no idea about leveling dirt.

Good evening Ed! Some great tips on bucketing a load. However, I would offer, respectfully, that you should NEVER fully extend your curl cylinders, as you have done in this video, and push forward, or drag backwards. All the force/energy of the impacts against the bucket/loader will be absorbed 100% by your curl cylinders. This is very bad. There are several youtube videos showing the resulting cracking and damage to the cylinder seals that gets caused when this is done. If you are not sure, talk to the the mechanic at your dealer. I am confident he will confirm what I am saying, just as my dealer's mechanic did to me. Always enjoy your videos but thought it important enough to note. Have a great long weekend!

Never say never. There are instances where you can use the bucket fully curled and they are very, very time saving and efficient. I would agree with you ninety-nine percent of the time on this. But, there are instances where it is not harmful. First instance: I like my gravel driveway to be spread completely smooth. But, that's no always possible with existing bumps. So, I wait until night and turn on my work lights. This lights up all the bumps and I am able to smooth them near perfectly flat using the fully curled bucket with the hardened edge cutting the tops of those bumps right off. Often, using this method, I will pull maybe a rakes worth of loose, freshly dumped gravel. No damage. No issues. The second instance: Mulch. Good, triple shredded mulch is light and contains nothing that will damage your loader or cylinders. I get five to six yards a year and spread most of it using the same method I use for gravel. No damage. No issues. I have three-hundred and fifty-two hours on my tractor and near all of them are loader work. Never say never.

I agree with you on the angle of the bucket pushing and back blading however that depends on the type of material... on this video that was rather light material.. I've been running loaders for 39 years on heavy equipment and tractors.... and with all due respect mechanics are not operators... so this spring and summer once my loader comes in for my new Kubota I'm going to film proper techniques give friendly advice how to run a front end loader for first-time tractor owners... in the meanwhile enjoy your tractors... enjoy watching everyone's videos👍

I always enjoy your videos. This video was a little learning and a lot more confirming. I am self taught on my 2003 BX 2200 and have done plenty of work with the bucket. I am never really sure I am doing it right. I learned a couple cool things and even better I also learned from you I taught myself good on the other stuff. BTW: I spent today working on improving and extending trails on my property here in rocky north, central Massachusetts. Roots, rocks, boulders and nothing close to level. Really conscious about the tip hazard and constantly considering the safest approach.

Well Ed, I can tell you for sure we are ALL spoiled with modern hydraulics on the tractors. Back in the day all we had was up, down and 'trip' with the farm loaders. Of course they were mainly for loading manure piles into the spreaders for the fields or loading gravel at the creek for the farm roads. Nice, informative and instructional video that will help many new loader owners !!

Nice tutorial.. love the way you level out your bucket! One suggestion, when you go into your pile try engaging the bucket and getting a partial load then rais your bucket just enough to transfer weight onto the front wheels, this gives more traction to the front tires. Then start raising and curling at the same time like you normally do. It helps fill that bucket even more. BTW I have the B2301 and have moved and spread dozens if not hundreds of yards of material ranging from sand to stay mat to crushed and dirt as I worked my house build and did all of the dirt work after and during the build.. An excavator and skid steer did the foundation and septic but my tractor did all the rest.. Love your channel..

I enjoyed todays video Ed, sometimes you forget some of the best steps. I've bought my first tractor and loader about 10 years ago I got familiar with hydraulic float. And got kinda okay with bucketing up dirt and gravel. I bought a J.d.3025 a couple years ago and I'm terrible with being able to get my buck level and that makes it hard to get your bucket full. Thanks Ed, I'm gonna tryout your method of leveling my bucket. I thought about getting me a leveling slide and mounting it like most new tractors have today. Mine didn't have that option when I bought it.

A wireless lapel mic when you’re operating the tractor would make it much easier to hear you over the noise of the tractor. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

One summer rolls around I will share videos and give friendly tips how to run a front end loader been doing it for 39 years professionally... couple key factors work the bucket more than the machine.. don't be heavy handed on the joystick.. and no need to Ram the pile.. don't use float going into the pile... like you said keep the Bucket Level don't angle bucket downwards approaching a pile and making quick scooping motions like I see some do on videos.. however I do enjoy your videos see you soon

Hello Ed. I live in the country in West Virginia and have done my mowing with a 2180 Cub Cadet mower. With some of it being fairly steep I had to work hard to mow with my 2wd mower backing over the hill, making a swipe, then pulling back up the hill for a swipe again. Recently had my 2nd hip replacement and a 2nd back surgery. I found that I can no longer twist around in the tractor seat to maneuver backwards. So I bought me a well cared for older 1993 B7100HST Kubota tractor that's 4wd. I can drive down the slopes moving forward and not breaking loose to interstate speeds time I hit the bottom. The Kubota is a Cadillac compared to the old 52 Farmall super A I used to have. But now I want to add a blade and certainly a back blade is the cheapest route to go, but since I can't turn around well I am thinking I need a front loader. Man am I so happy that I ran across your video. You are such a good teacher, you take your time explaining things. It was such a joy for me to watch and learn from this video. I have made up my mind to purchase a front loader now and will work with your video to learn how to use it. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to watching all your other videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. New subscriber now!

@@MyClutteredGarage just watching your other video on the hidden feature of the bucket curl leveling. I’ve seen it before a year ago as I was getting ready to acquire the tractor, now it hits home. Btw, I would agree with the comments about not over extending any cylinders. One point I can add is I always try and weight the loader arms equally whether using the bucket or my grapple. Cheers.

Great video. I have a BX2380 with a loader and have been working on my woods around a stream that floods periodically and has created some deep ruts through erosion. My challenges is to try to take down the high ridges and then fill in the ruts and smooth everything out to be able to have a nice level area to lay down grass seed. The ground is a mixture of hard clay and looser top soil, and it's been a bear to try to keep that loader level while driving over the ruts and back-dragging to smooth things out. I found your video to be helpful and can't wait to get back out there and have another go at it.

Good tips! I usually keep it in M when loading loose dirt or gravel because i don't have the patience when traveling to the dump location. On another note, I just bolted on the bxpanded piranha tooth bar a few hours ago and man, that thing is awesome for cutting! It cut through dry hard earth like nothing!

I love the idea of having perfect level of the bucket. Before I was using only the level indicator (metal bar) on the FEL. In Your every day job, You are always using this technique to level the bucket, or You follow the bucket level indicator on FL? Thanks for the fantastic tip. I have the tractor for 1 year now and I just learned something very important for me, as I do a lot of terrain grading.

Good video, Ed. One other tip, and perhaps it's covered in another video - Always make sure your rear implement is raised up. Shortly after I bought my tractor with a backhoe, I failed to lift the backhoe. The bucket was dragging on the ground. I could not figure out why the tractor was moving slowly. My wife was laughing and finally pointed to the backhoe. So, I learned - always check behind you before moving the tractor! :-) - Rick

Ouch well start leveling one area at a time, have an area to dump excess from lumps, pile it up in a higher pile, then later, come back get it to fill low spots, imagine a man in 1860, with 3 tools, pic, shovel, rake, how would he level an area 12 x 20 to grow food to survive, then realize you have the advantage with a tractor, and getter done, One bite at a time
