Hot Take - I think the girl who cheated on her ex 7 times deserves some grace. I also think the ex coming to warn the current BF was messy AF. It’s not exactly a selfless act to “warn” new people about your ex. It is obviously bad what the girl did, but she didn’t do it to her current partner. If she’s in therapy and hasn’t done anything wrong in her current relationship, I don’t see what the problem is. How long should she be exiled from relationships because of what she did to one guy? Obviously, if she does cheat on her current boyfriend he has every right to dumb her.

I don’t think people should just become written off from having any future romantic relationships ever because of infidelity

The couple where the girl cheated, because partner was not giving her what she needed physically....I think this would have been a good opportunity to discuss open relationships, and how that could have been an option for this couple. For her to explore physical intimacy outside of the relationship openly with her partner knowing. Deepti mentioned her partner could have had low self confidence, but he could also just be asexual, and not require physical intimacy. Or maybe has other sexual preferences that he hasn't explored. I love your podcast, This was such a great discussion!!

Wholeheartedly agree with Natalie...cheating shows a lack of integrity, self-control, shows insecurity and smallness and low emotional intelligence. While the act of cheating brings the analysis up to the forefront, my decision would primarily be based on that person's need for growth to mature and discover themselves. It's not a personality/characteristic I would be attracted to, which in turn I'd not be interested. I like STRONG people, the ones that do the HARD work, not ones that can't have just one cookie but binge over the whole jar until they get fat and sick and alone.

I would love for you guys to do an episode on distorted thinking. For the pod bestie who has someone who cheated on an ex with 7 guys, I think it comes down to figuring out what is reality. They don't have to discount the positive but it would benefit them to figure out what is reality and what is the potential to happen. How they in his relationship is real, but there's also a real past and truth to the pattern. They can love this person but also go forward knowing they have a higher potential of having poor coping mechanisms.
