I’m a factory trained BMW Tech and the 135i is under appreciated. The 135i can be at the heels of a E92 M3 all day. The N54 is a good platform for sure.

Just as long as you do proper maintenance and upgrade all the cheap plastic parts to aluminum. Only downside is if you aren't working on it yourself, it's going to cost a good amount to have repaired but definitely a great platform!!

A lot of people hate on the 135 bodystyle, but I love it. It looks way better than the E92 and E93. The 135 was born to be a 2-door. The E92 looks like they just stretched the door.

I loved it enough to buy one, then I wanted something else more sporty, then I totalled it and now I look again at these and seriously consider buying one again, these cars just feel good, big just enough when you sit inside everything is where it should be.

@@renenemj1 beyond the common n54 issues, water pump, Watergate, etc, 135i are generally solid. Your GTI will certainly have lower mainenace cost over time, but I feel the fun factor is higher with the 135i. I've driver both, and own the 1er.

The 135 is sooooo cool. I predict these cars will not only hold their value, but get more expensive with time. Personally, I have a 128, and only bought it cause the price was really good. But even that car sent me straight down the BMW rabbit hole. It's not super fast, but it is super balanced and well rounded. The weight distribution is on point, and you can feel it the first time you drive it. I can only imagine what the 135 is like. Will be my next car.

Sick 135i! This is what I had envisioned when I was shopping for one. I really wanted a e82 and almost bought a manual titanium silver 135i, but decided I wasn't quite done saving up. I ended up buying a 2JZ single turbo swapped IS200 instead sometime later on. Eventually got a manual built n55 e92 LCI on port WMI with the same turbo setup as this. Without the fuel limit it made 758 horsepower with I think WMI + 102 octane, done by previous owner. I wanted WMI + pump (no 102 here) so I was redoing tunes when it broke shortly after purchase. Unfortunately it's been standing for 2 years now with probably (hopefully) a blown head gasket. It's losing oil and coolant fast and has a rough idle. Hoping to fix it this winter, but I also want to swap the gearbox in my IS. 😬Seeing this E82 makes me wish I had gotten a 1 series it's gorgeous.😍 And people know it, the e82 even without a 6 cylinder is way more expensive than the other e8x here. Wish there were nice E82 bodykits available but the 1M kit just looks perfect. Screw it being a "fake" 1M it ends up being the same thing for less money with upgrades going beyond the 1M, this is the way. Is this MHD tuned? Where did you get this done? My e-tuner in germany is very poor in communicating and will probably charge me for further tuning since it's been 2 years. I was thinking about going to Twisted Tuning for my maps instead if my current tuner charges again. Unsure if adding JB4 will be worth the trouble.

fyi the S65 M3 engine is based from the E60's S85 V10, which was taken from their formula 1 car and "detuned" for the street. Thats why they sound amazing and rev to 9K. also the N54 would win in a drag race tbh lol

@Jace's Own World Ayy Thicc Wipes on KZbin basically built his own 1M clone out of a 135i, and when this video came out I was wishing and hoping for my 1st bmw with my clapped out 08 M35. Now I have that and an 07 e90 335i along with a family of 4 total. It's possibly if you really want it so don't doubt yourself!!

LOL! I had two Honda PC800s. You couldn't ask for a more non-assuming bike. They had exhaust systems that you could run while eating pancakes in the kitchen with grandma. But what I forgot, is that all that energy gets out there somehow. We--not Grandma, a friend of mine--toured the U.S. and Canada, 10,000 miles, and when we got into a tunnel here and there, WHAM! There is a small benefit that the N54 has over the B58 and that's that the N54 is less of an over square than the B58 and is more like the S58 in that way. Should help with revving.

So nice to see my car with so nice spec. E82 with the OG N54 are king. I hope that I can realize a 1erM conversion in the near future. Technically, as optically. I just love this car. 400 - 450 hp is the perfect power for tracks. unfortunately you have to convert the barrel bearings and all bearings to PU. otherwise the car swims incredibly strong in performance. Injectors and pumps are a well-known disease.
