[532] Abus 64TI 40 Titalium with an old flaw

Most newer locks will utilize the double locking mechanism.
This old spring loaded locking pawl design is often seen on smaller locks like this. This should not reflect poorly on all Abus locks.

You will be stoked when you finally pop it. Years ago, BosnianBill sent me a double ended Euro Abus lock and it almost made me quit picking. Luckily I stuck with it and learned a LOT from that one lock

I have a few bigger Titalium locks, pretty fun to pick. Mine may be different than yours, but mine have mushroom pins in them, good to learn on! Thanks buddy 👍

I have two of these 64ti/40 locks and their keyholes are way harder to leverage than yours so picking them is quite the pain. I did manage to shim them as you showed pretty easily though, good video!

I understand. I had to pick one a while back that was is a bad spot so it was a pain. I need to practice more with locks upside down and sideways.

Its all standard pins in there, in the video I did 'EP.010 Abus 64Ti/40' I have it all apart about 50 seconds in. That lock was my ban for a long time!

I’ve come so close too grabbing an ABUS Titalium so many times from Amazon it’s not even funny, but then something different catches my eye. I ordered a Hurd No.235 round lock earlier. It’s a round lock so I immediately thought about how I need to check in and say hello. 🤘🏻

I recommend getting one next time your shopping. Their great locks. I am doing ok. The area still looks like a war zone from the tornadoes but we are cleaning up.

I just picked one of these up and can't get it open for anything, but I had assumed pin 5 was a zero lift that I could and should ignore. However, looking at your key, it would seem 5 and 4 are zero lift, but you picked away at them..and rather hard too. So... have I presumed incorrectly?

I have a 96CSTI/60 with high shackle guard, I don't think this type of can be shimmed easily.

Try a comb. That looks an awful lot like an infamous Master. For all you’ve shown, I would say it’s probably not a good lock. Biases can be a benefit doesn’t seem so right here.
