Bom dia Joaquim. 🙏

You take some scraps of steel and make a custom rack for your truck. With cutting, welding, finishing and painting; I imaging this piece, alone would have cost hundreds of euros if you had someone else fabricate it. Bravo! You’re like my dad. He garnered many skills in his life. If he didn’t know how, he learned. Bricklaying, glassblowing, carpentry, plumbing, welding, soldering, sewing, you name it! I picked up some skills but don’t have or want all the equipment needed for all these tasks myself but enjoy watching you master them!

You will want a load strap, load cable, or load chain going forward and not abrade the cable on your lift. I like that if you change it some later you can lift the head off and change it. The base can stay.
@Joaquim_Conde14 күн бұрын
Thanks for the insight, I’ll be working on the idea of a strap. I think the chain will be a bit slippery
@AnvilDragon14 күн бұрын
@@Joaquim_Conde Straps are best purchased, getting a good saddle stitch with strong tread is difficult to both make and test. A chain would have an elongated ring the same weight as the links for the hook and the other a round ring as heavy as will fit and 1.5 time the diameter of chain or elongated ring. The rings are welded. It would always be used choked around a load. Useful for stone and logs but will tear up softer things like lumber you don't want to damage.

That’s what I was thinking watching this. Those stone or concrete pieces are long. Could shift in an instant. I’m surprised that little cable could lift that much weight without breaking suddenly.
@Joaquim_Conde14 күн бұрын
The side by side has a very low centre of gravity due to the 750kg of lead acid batteries in its bowel. The winch cable is rated at 1500lbs, one of the larger posts weighs in under 200lbs. Having said that, I wouldn’t let anyone else use the side by side with the winch or any other implement for that matter. All tools are dangerous if not used with a good dose of practical, common sense. Thanks for being concerned and for commenting.
