Part of the reason why I stopped reading comics on a weekly basis is that everything can change and revert to the status quo, so it felt like nothing mattered anyway. So now I just wait a few years and read the big stuff that actually matters an end up in the lore moving forwards. Just because it's on the page, doesn't mean that it's canon.

I'm also a lover of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, that show was a original thing that had so much love and hardwork put on it and it's characters have such good chemistry and development they deserver more comic runs. If i was from US, i would buy everything with Coulson, May, Fitz and Simmons on it so Marvel knows there's ppl who loves them. I still pissed they are the only show MCU never acknowledged as canon at this point.

Though I agree with most that the comics changing to be more like the movies is bad, I think it’s a bit more complex. Remember when the first X-Men film came out? A lot of good elements from that made it into the comics and changed them for the better (eg. giving Magneto a telepathy blocking helmet, giving Rogue some type of name). But, most people forget that since because of the MCU we got bad origin changes, power changes, and sidelining. So I think it's less black and white as people see

@@dragonxedits5758 Scarlet Witch alone is a great example of horrible changes. Her new origin makes no sense whatsover and just turns her backstory into an unnecessary mess. Not to mention that it connects her and Pietro to the High Evolutionary - a Villain who previously had nothing to do with them - for basically no reason. There was nothing wrong with Magneto being their father - Marvel changed it literally just because 20th Century Fox held the characters' cinematic rights at the time...

@TheCursedCat1927 they didn't have the rights, what else would they do?
@TheCursedCat1927Күн бұрын
@@SomeRandomName460 The thing is, they DID have the rights to those characters in the Comics - 20th Century Fox only used to hold their Cinematic Rights, as in the ownership license over the Mutants' appereances in movies, live-action projects, etc. There was no actual reason to change these things within the Comics, because those versions of Wanda, Pietro and Magneto were still owned completely by Marvel. Character Rights and Cinematic Rights are not the same thing - one covers the entire IP; while the other refers only to a specific media. This is also how Spider-Man works - Sony have his Cinematic Rights, but the character in general is still owned by Marvel; who are responsible for his Comics, video games, cartoons, etc.

Comics have been influenced by the movies since all the way back to Adam Wests Batman show, that show is what put a yellow oval around the Bat symbol so that it would stand out more on TV. Batman 89 (specifically Michael Keaton) is the sole reason Batman’s voice is different than Bruce Wayne’s. Spider-Man the new animated series pretty much copied the suit from the 2002 Spider-Man movie and even casted Michael Clarke Duncan as Wilson Fisk just like in the Daredevil movie. The spectacular Spider-Man cartoon recreated scenes from the entire Spider-Man trilogy

I understand that some purists don't appreciate the influence, but in many cases, these changes have been for the better. For example, there are characters who didn't have much personality or depth before the MCU revamped them. The real problem arises when changes are made that *negatively* impact the character or story.

History during the Civil War yielded several stories focusing on the most diverse groups and characters. while in the film it is a small fight that had almost no real effect on the world but was also resolved in an extremely simple way.

@cidadaoanonimo6903 marvel went bankrupt in 1996. They were in nearly a billion dollars of debt. I literally just made a video explaining this. Spider-Man comics wouldn’t have made up those financial losses. They had to sell off the film rights to a bunch of their characters. When it came to Marvel Studios starting the MCU, they required a loan to finance the movies. It the first 3 MCU movies weren’t profitable, Marvel would’ve lost the rights to all their characters
